hey guys, new here smile.gif

currently have problem deciding between either this or the Canon G10 rclxub.gif

reason i want the G10 is coz it have 5x zoom compared to the LX3's 2.5x zoom. But damn, the LX3 have a max aperture of 2.0! rclxub.gif

and according to reviews, the lx3 totally pwnz the G10 under low light and high ISO shots.

is it possible to get some kind of telephoto adapter to counter the lx3's disability?

thx guys! icon_rolleyes.gif

Salesman mostly cannot trust one la.
They know NUTS about cameras.
Better to survey yourself by reading mags and the internet.

I also use FL36 but i bought it 2nd hand at RM350 only thumbup.gif

Put on the body will feel unbalance, u need to hold the flash as well but it is ok since i bought it for my coming soon G1. Just use it sometimes on LX3.
Refresh rate is not as good as its Canon and Nikon similar spec flash as it only use 2 AA batts.

lol, I'm not really good in flash even when the time i'm using DSLR.

I'm not really sure whether did TTL works with LX3 or not (i think it works) but i dun really like TTL.

If u ok by using manual, there is option for u to adjust the Guide Number, GN, that's to adjust the power of the flash.

If the place u shoot got a ceiling, try to use bounce as much as possible to prevent harsh flash. Bounce it 90degrees or 15 degrees to the back.
If u are at outdoor and want to treat it as fill in flash only, u can use direct flash, or bounce it with a bounce card, or buy omnibounce to diffuse the light.

If u want to conserve ur flash batt or prevent slow refresh rate, try to boost up ur camera ISO so u dun need to use full power of ur flash, else u need to wait very long to fire another shot.
U can see the LED lit on when ur flash is fully recharge back.
