I am looking for some software or application tat can make N79 a Flashlight, those that i find online all cannot be install..... any advise?

Sure you can. here is how -

tools > settings > general > personalisation > standby mode > standby theme > Basic

You can also try to set it to Vertical Icon Bar to get a smaller menu system.


You can take it one step further and make your wallpaper into a slide show as well
tools > settings > general > personalisation > themes > wallpaper > slide show

new N79 user reporting in... just bought it few days ago

more and more new user joining here.. booster, have any method to remove nokia conversation? i found that it cant be uninstalled. it's still quite buggy and i decided to dump it.. however the app mgr doesnt allow me to do so. =(

you have to do a hard reset to wipe it away haha

make sure backup all impt stuff first ya

so will my wifi setting gone too? i use sch wifi to browse net. they dun simply gv wep key. gotta see ict department if i lost my setting. can i reset without losing my wifi setting?

so what phone did skylinegtr34rule4life choose? I'm still in dilemma between N82 and N79. N79 is newer phone so I assume it have better built hardware than N82. m i rite? the only diff I know is xenon light, other than tat wat else?

he got n82 in the end.. better hardware not really jus the fm transmitter

n82 has dual core processor too n graphic chip better to play games and load apps

I'm going to buy n79 soon.
at last I've got enough money to buy one Orz
but before I went for it, I need someone helps me to clarify about something please

I've planned to go for ORI one because the price range among the AP and ORI doesn't seems got big differences huh?
Does the original n79 supported chinese input a.k.a pinyin?
If it doesn't, can I request them to settle with it?

I'm may not be able to online frequently, so please pardon me if I did not reply ya

I have hard reset countless times (both 4 finger method and *#7370#) and my wifi wep key is still intact. All you need to do is backup onto your card and restore after you do your reset.

oh.. thx for the advice.. if i backup everything means my setting wont vanish la.. alright.. will do it..
