New thread, new TS. V6 already

If in camera area, sure N82 can beat any others nokia phone specially 5800. But a few thing I like about 5800 is its screen size. Browsing with 3 inch screen is uncompareable with 2.4 inch of N82. Watching movie also a big difference. Plus 5800 come with 8Gb memory card. Although not the best smartphone around but IMHO the best value for money!

Just now I went to Blue Cube to check the price. I saw in their website, the price is RM1399 with Bluetooth & Xpax Starter Pax. This is the cheapest I found in Kuantan so far. But sadly, 5800 here has RM1499 price tag and I have to wait at least 2 days to get the phone.

Why they quote RM1399 in the website while the actual price is more than that. I thought this week I finally own a tube.

How long should I charge?

Been using this phone for 2 days now. So far no major problem.

No problem with Celcom 3G setting (can play youtube video), acceptable image quality and nice large 640 x 360 touch screen .

I tried only a few applications and no problem so far except for those that need certificate (still don't know how to get it ). I found that Nokia Handwriting Calculator is a very good app but I still searching for workable opera browser as I prefer Opera than the built in browser. Also tried MyPhone but not my taste, better use Handy Shell.

Previously I used MeGui as my video converter but so far can't get any converted video worked on my red tube with this app. So, I try Handbrake like in the tutorial from the first page and it works ! Already converted and played my Finding Nemo on 5800 (converted from 720p to 5800 compatible). Now still searching for the best setting to get a good size and quality ratio.

Guys need help here, how to change folder icon? I create a few folder and they look ugly when you see the folder icon.

Minor problem:
My PC Suite can't detect the phone when I connect using pc front panel usb port. The connection wizard stucked at connect to handphone screen. But after change to other usb port (back), it works perfectly.

I bought my tube for RM1350 here in Kuantan . Sapura set. Last week the price still above RM1400 .

BTW, anyone know how change folder icon?

I'm also find difficult to typw using qwerty keyboard (small/large) because I'm more familiar with alphanumeric key pad and I believe most of us the same.

When do you buy your tube? Last few weeks the price still RM1499 (RM1470 the cheapest) when I searching around (Kuantan). Then I found one shop selling RM1400 last week in Megamall. When I went to buy at that shop this week, the shop closed bcoz of CNY. But lucky me, the next shop which previously only sell AP set now selling ori with RM1350 price tag.

But it is normal to get black background? The land have black color but everything (road, river etc.) are normal. I'm using malfreemap.

I don't think the price will go down below 1k. This Tube is a hot cake. Probably takes more than 1 year to reach that price.

BTW, if use Garmin, do I need 3g connection enable? Because if I use 3G, it still cost a lots if I include the RM0.10 per 10KB rate.

5 hours? I thought only last 2-3 hours only. But oklah 5 hours. Will turn on the gps only when necessary. But the phone is really hot when I use gps for an hour.


The big screen consume lot of power. Plus the battery capacity for 5800 is much less thane71.

You need to hardsub the subtitles. So far, I'm using Xvid4PSP to convert my video with Klite codec.

Before buy, need to survey other place to get cheaper price. Anything above RM1400 is no-no, RM1350 acceptable, RM1300 Good for you and RM1250 you're lucky .

Where should I install app better, phone memory or memory card?

Yup, as I thought. Just now I mistakenly install an app on phone memory and it can't be uninstall. How can I delete it?
