Regarding on how to check RAM, we can also install Y-Task. It give you nice pie chart and all also! And it has the ability to compress a little bit of RAM for you so you have more free RAM.

You can also install a good app I found from my E65 days. Its called NSysInfo. Google for it. It gives you info on a bunch of things about your fone, incl. free ram, other memory, and most importantly: battery life left in %!!!

But you won't be able to install it without signing it yourself first. Cert for it expired long ago as the developer stopped updating it. But it works perfectly on my 5800 after I self signed it. Last version is 1.16.
