mine showing how the screen protector looks like?

anyways, tried converting a H.264 file to mp4 using Super Converter
it's actually quite easy to use, though i would say speed wise is definitely not the fastest, but who cares? tongue.gif

one thing you have to take caution is that for all the videos you convert, please make sure the FPS is the same as the source. if you try to bump up or down the FPS, it'll look quite wierd resulting in choppy video (and your sound may or may not sync too well). how can you check ur original source FPS? go media player classic, then Shift + F10
go to details and check the source FPS.

i'm gonna convert more now tongue.gif

hey guys, need some help here
to those who encounter problems with the earpiece problem, how often does it occur? every call you received or dialled? or it's more of random basis?

also, if i were to send it to a care centre, would it be sending it to the one at Berjaya Time Square? or the one at Sunway Pyramid would suffice?

i'm suspecting my earpiece might have that problem as well but it does not seem to happen too frequent (it's only happen to one person that i dialled out quite frequent to, but the others doesn't seem to be affected :S)

it happens at random...

as for the NCC, you can send it to any that is listed on the FrontPage™...call first to make sure they are open before going =)
*
hmm, maybe i might just visit the one at pyramid (though i recall they are not open during festive seasons :s
my only concern is after they fixed it, it might just gather more dust as in the past upon opening the front casing for the 1st time, it'll just gather dust till no end. i wonder if NCC would do a better job than me unsure.gif

Then try DIY if you dare to take the risk. I trust myself more than any other people else rclxms.gif
*
haha, i think doing it myself will just end up the screen collecting more dust tongue.gif
maybe i should ask smashpop after his repair did it resulted in more dust collected, since he did send it to NCC

speaking bout dust, i sent mine to clean it up coz i spotted 2 dots after few weeks of usage after they fixed my earpiece prob.

so i sent to to NCC to clean it up...who knew..after that, new dot came up! and on the spot i told him to redo it again..so he redid it again....but at the end, another new spot again!!!!

so i just went home and decided to DIY....now perfect....it's quite easy to open up the casing btw biggrin.gif
*
lol, i guess it just all depends on luck
i'll need to emphasize to the dude who's gonna repair my phone about dust tongue.gif

anyways, was checking out the martin fields screen protector, notice the mock display doesn't have a hole for the proximity / light sensor. can anyone verified if it's just an illustration error?

btw, just gotten a skool as a temporary solution since my current SP is about to give way after accidentally washing it sweat.gif

say bye bye to the plastic pouch! tongue.gif

yeah later ill try again. now after dinner wanna try install garmin with virtual key. hands itchy already
*
hehe, i've tried that, not bad
i suggest you download the keymap that assigns Menu button as "scroll down" and camera button as "scroll up"
since you need scroll down more often than scroll up (and there's problem with the camera button as it's a 2 pressure point key, therefore it'll send 2 registered key to the Garmin XT when searching address which will screw it up)

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jan 30 2009, 08:32 PM)
Do share here the custom keymap file here, or a linky to it? Very interested as not being able to scroll down after searching is driving me nuts... No such issues using the cam button to scroll with Web tho...
*
the link is here : http://mytechnews.info/b/2009/01/updated-c...-mobile-xt.html
please use the keymap that is posted on 29th January
why i suggest this? because if you use camera as scroll down while you are searching for the address, it'll auto insert some unknown symbol into your address which caused it to be no address found
while if u use menu as scroll down (and u dun use camera as scroll up), you could just scroll down till the most bottom, and re-spell the same address, and it'll pop you back up to the first found list. please do note this is only for when scrolling down addresses that you just spell it out
if you are scrolling up and down at the main menu, this scenario will not occur happen

this is because the camera button is a 2-point pressure button which will register 2 keys (1st pressure point was meant for auto-focus, 2nd pressure point for snap picture). hence why you scroll down or up using camera button, it'll register weird symbols in your address (due to keymap did not map auto-focus function)

QUOTE(kennyboy @ Jan 30 2009, 09:16 PM)
Yup...i've tried N95 8gb, 6220c, and E71, and not a single one could acquire a fix in a sheltered area before (even with AGPS)...that's why i'm quite surprised with the lock on capability of the 5800.

Even my Garmin 10x standalone gpsr also cannot do it...but of course it doesn't have the AGPS capability. But it's accuracy is better than the 5800....it knows when u are stationary, but the 5800 sometimes give a small speed reading when stationary.
*
just now i encounter problem that the GarminXT did not initiate the GPS properly....odd. i guess it's just software error, i force GPS to activate via Nokia Maps, then run GarminXT again

QUOTE(vexus @ Jan 30 2009, 09:52 PM)
I install garmin successful, but can't scroll down while searching for address. hmm
*
use the link i provided above

QUOTE(hellwaker @ Jan 30 2009, 09:54 PM)
Did u let virtual key run at background? and if u use custome1.keymap the up / down key are camera button / menu button. If u use custome3.keymap then it is volume up / down key on the fone.
*
QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jan 31 2009, 12:11 AM)
regarding garmin
emm, i wanna install the map that i dld from malfree. from the guide, need to install the mapsource 1st. but i couldnt get to install the mapsource. why ar?
*
if you really want to install mapsource, you have to extract it out via winzip / winrar
if you have multiple drives, extract it to the last drive
double-click main.msi
and it'll install the rest

QUOTE(squall_kay @ Jan 31 2009, 12:26 AM)
ok. i already put the maps.

now when it ask to turn on the bluetooth, i on it
then it pop "no gps device found.try again"  rclxub.gif
*
you have to unlock it to fully utilise the AGPS in your phone
you'll have to buy the code from Garmin

oh, and malfreemaps is the best because it's updated more frequently compare to malsingmaps which you have to pay if you want to get the latest (and it's still not the most updated)

my only pointer to you is that if you convert to the mp4 format, please make sure is MPEG-4 and not h.264
bcoz both also carry the extension .mp4 which always misled people into thinking it's compatible

nah...MSM isn't payware. Just that most people are too lazy to contribute to get the latest updates.

but MSM does make some money licensing the map data created by the members, so that's a bit hazy. smile.gif
*
v2.3 Gold is actually locked. and you have pay to get the unlock code from them if you are not contributor
unless you managed to rip it from some where else which i also managed to tongue.gif
however, i've compare the POI of MSM and MFM, MFM is definitely better IMO (that is for Selangor area wink.gif )
