Got told the same thing by my Honda SA. contemplated. and couldnt hold my self back..

Ordered a 2.0S Civic with the new Titanium Grey colour.

Car is to be delivered in April, but I may change it to Black once I see the car when it launches in March.. depending on how it looks like

on paper, the colour looks pretty okay, but im afraid i may not like the new colour and opt to go for something more generic but has a nice feel..

cant really go wrong with a black car.

Yeah, its some new colour that is being launched in March along with the newest civic spec.

Apparently the radio is being changed along with a few other additions which my sa wasnt sure about as well.

I was also told by the sa, that any booking after feb 28th will honour the new civic price, which I assume will only be higher rather than lower >_<

Even though my car isnt here yet, I am very keep to get a mugen body kit on. nothing overly flashy, just the front lip side skirts and the back skirting with the spoiler.

Any civic owners can point me in the right direction ?

= \ im not a modder. lolx. might go for some performance upgrades after the warranty is over but not before. plus the fact that the car would probably keep me poor for a few months till my next increment . lolx

My SA called me this afternoon to confirm my order because he said if they dun log the car order by 28th, I will follow the new price.

Interest increase? Hope not, I just got my loan approved at 2.68% for 5 yrs = \ . Considered quite low already

I changed mine to black. Urban Titanium scares me. lol. from different angles it looks reddish brown .

i take 5 yr loan also i feel its abit long ready . but no choice. = \ 3 yr loan a bit too much for me to pay.

I actually meant to say 9 yr loan for 2nd hand car. i left that out . =.= .

Adding on :: cars are a depreciating asset, 2nd hand cars even more so . >.<

9 yrs loan to get a 2nd hand car. i feel is a wrong move.

Any car with high mileage is a bad move . Since its only 2 yrs .. whats ur definition of high mileage? is the car still under warranty ?

if it is, then i say go for it. but what is your relative's asking price ?

Ill be frank with you and tell you, civic value depreciates quite little for some reason. if you can get a fd1 for 90k and its a 2008 car and still under warranty.

I would be stupid not to ask you to go for it. But please understand the warranty is important . Honda SC like all others are notorious for overcharging you to fix your car .

And once again, 9 years for a 2nd hand car ? Wouldnt you be better off buying a new forte 2.0 ?

I know alot of forumers going for that car, and since 90k is ur price range, you got it made

But try to keep the loan to < 7 years.

But the argument of reliability, you are probably better off with a new city, which is priced at nearly 90k as well.

Trust me I contemplated buying 2nd hand also .

But couldnt be bothered with the hassle.

If you are gonna take a 9 yr loan, id tell you not to get a 2nd hand car.

Purchase within your means. Thats the most important thing.

Dont pressure yourself to get something which is over your budget.

I myself thought long and hard. Hey, I'd love to have a BMW or an Audi in my drive way. Something my dad can afford, but not something within my means now .

SO i went for a Civic instead. Within my spending power. Not the car I dream about every night, which is a Audi 2.0T S-line. lolx.

Id recommend you to weigh the pros and the cons as well and think about it yourself. Why put such a huge financial burden on yourself

the minimum wait time for now is about 2 to 3 months.

Order now, expect to get the car at least after june (No matter what colour you choose)

You can try going out of state like penang or perak . they probably have some unallocated cars there.

I know a pretty nice guy called Moon in Honda, Bangsar. Nice guy, gave me awesome discount and a great interest rate.

He wanted to allocate a Urban Titanium 2.0 for me in March but told me Black would only be available in May.

In the end I got it from a personal friend of mine who managed to get an allocation for a Black Civic in April

I got mine from affin at 2.63

hmm, what is the rate at the moment ? 3.5 ? for a new car ? O_O . i thought it only applied to malaysian cars. hmm

Check with the banks first.

I am meeting my banker and insurance agent tomorrow to complete the processing of my car.
