As Neo-Y said, the 17" is a low profile tyre too. The bigger the rim and the thinnest the wall tyre will produce louder noise. And the widther of the tyre contact to road surface too. Many thing got to learn right?

There is another way also. Change the rim to 16" or 15" and remain the same tyre diameter. The width of the tyre will reduce if the tyre inch reduce. This will increase the wall thickness and smaller rim. That will reduce the noise too. But minus the glamour and the reduce the beauty of the civic.

That is 8th gen. face lift or no face lift.

Try put the civic trye and the rim on the city. The noise is still there. And try put the city tyre and the rim to your civic. See the noise will reduce or not. You will know the answer.

hmm, my sis city was 2007 ( WQF ) release, not the latest one.
It is a lot better than civic ( sound/ noisy )

i don't know how's the Q on new city, so i prefer not to talk about it

unfortunately they did not improve on sound proofing, now wonder when i test drive toyota, they guy keep selling the sound proof of toyota..but civic sound proof really lousy, not only civic, i drove accord in US, I really cannot tolerate the tyres sound, but the handling is much more better then camry..

bro, try to ask honda if new gen civic will be release anytime soon?

how many KMs u can travel with full tank on FD1? mine around 400 to 450...'uni' driving and stuffs. I miss my waja...which can go up to 500 to 600km full tank..(but its 1.6 la)

9km/l is a bit low. New car average can get 12km/l for city drive.

Damn.. i got my new Civic 2.0S 2 weeks back. SA sent my car for tinting and I collect my car in Ecotint Hartamas tinting shop. After few days I realized whenever I wash my car or got into rain, everytime I wind down and wind up my car windows inner part were wet!
3 of the windows having this problem.

I went to Honda SC for my first service and complain about this. They claimed that it was caused by the tinting shop. So after car service I straight away drive my car to Ecotint Hartamas, they said its because of the rubber not good enough. Ask me send back to SC.
Then one of the Ecotint sales girl said wait for my manager got her new Civic then we will show whether her new car got this problem or not. What the hell man even you show me or not I don't care I just want to solve the current problem!

So I called up my SA ask him to settle for me. He said he will discuss with Honda CS's manager and get back to me.

WTH! Even my old Proton Wira also never have this kind of problem. Somemore this Civic can buy 6 of my old Wira.

Anyone can enlight me what to do? Just wait? Wait until when? 

P/S: Never send your car to Ecotint Hartamas. They tinting skill sux! I tinted Ray Barrier, after few days got my new car my rear window part of the tinting film came out, roughly about 1 feet large. I sent it back to the shop and they touch up for me but still alot of bubbles. I ask them to replace new one for me. They said can but we won't guarantee if we damage your heater. ZZzzzZZZZZ............

Mine about 9KM/L too.. I drive 40% highway and 60% city.

OK guyz. Now confirm is Honda issue. Ecotint on the spot tested spray light water to new Honda CRV, Honda Accord, Honda Civic & Honda City car windows. After wind down n up the car window all of them inner part of the windows were wet! Theirs just slightly wet. Mine is worst.

Those who just got your car try it out and let me know are you having the same issue or not please...

Actually those cars they have tested infront of me are purely new and just ready for tinting. sigh

erm.. no 1 answer my question geh?? my concern is.. if my company touches the Civic Wiring, will it void the warranty ? or.. i must only install the Honda Authorized GPS provider?? =.=

wah.... that means.. no other choice but install cobra ar? =.=" which means whenever we touched the wiring, then will void warranty if touch wood in future got problem la.. =.="

only brake lock & steering lock, i dont think is user friendly and able to prevent much.. ok la.. if Alarm cannot, then i have to use the GPS tracking only.. since it only tap 3 wires.. >.<" i think should be ok gua >.<" erm.. if i wanna change BM Horn lerh? it void warranty as well?    faint =.=

does it really works? roughly how many horsepower will be increase? i know outside selling rm260 you can get cheaper than that? 

This is perfectly normal for a NEW USER. But not the car.

Learn in a slow way. Enjoy the vroom first.
