Sigh. I am hoping to see this end 2010. I'm due for a car change soon and I wanna get it before GST kicks in in 2011. Hopefully come faster lah.
*
First launch at 2006 and facelift it at 2009. According to their product life cycle, another 2 years to go for them to release the "all new" civic.
It probably will release during 4th quarter of year 2011 or the 1st quarter of 2012.

Got told the same thing by my Honda SA. contemplated. and couldnt hold my self back..

Ordered a 2.0S Civic with the new Titanium Grey colour.

Car is to be delivered in April, but I may change it to Black once I see the car when it launches in March.. depending on how it looks like

on paper, the colour looks pretty okay, but im afraid i may not like the new colour and opt to go for something more generic but has a nice feel..

cant really go wrong with a black car. tongue.gif
*
I've just ordered mine on Jan this year and expected to allocate my car during March.

And yes, my SA did informed me that Honda Civic will release one more color variant which similar like bronze or brown color. However, I'll just won't change my mind, Taffeta White. tongue.gif

new civic AGAIN? wtf i just bought mine only last year around 5 months back..so far handling all superb! going to convert the bodykit at a shop i found in klang that does very good job for exceptional prices.

Wanting to ask some Vtec sifu. The new Civic is iVtec. What can we do to modify the engine to make it on par with Big Vtec or Small Vtec. Sorry my knowledge not so good!

If we put piping for the civic, the sound of the Vtec is clear and loud or not. Theres paddle shift so i presume we can hear the Vtec open at a high RPM? Just checking before i proceed in converting the whole car in March.

Your feedback is highly appreciated.

tongue.gif People are not talking about new Civic but just the new color , relax bro~

For my opinion, the Taffeta White color is quite ugly on the civic. The white color is just too white. Not to said when it get dirty. The white color that is look nice on civic is champion white with those type R. Why honda don't use it on normal civic? Anyway color are subjective.
*
Since you open up a comparison, I'm personally more prefer "Premium White Pearl" with Hybrid Civic over than "Championship White" for those Type R Civic. Yeah, why don't they standardize just one "White" for Civic.

Anyway, again, both are still white for me. biggrin.gif

Just went through the specs sheet on honda's website. Some changes:

1) Heat absorbent glass for both 1.8 and 2.0
2) Side mirror turning light now available to 1.8 too  thumbup.gif
3) Single CD player and USB input for 1.8 and 2.0
*
Which site do you refer? MY site seem like haven't update yet.

Update: Opp, now I get it...

Another questions for you guys here, do you know what's the lead time from booking date until when the car arrives? Is it faster for 1.8 or 2.0 or certain colors? Want to find a dealership that can deliver the car the fastest.
*
Not sure but I'm already waiting mine (2.0, White) for almost two month plus and still don't have any good news from my SA.

going to pick up my new crystal black pearl civic this evening.. nervous and excited!!!! rclxms.gif

what should i expect as a freebies from SA? he did mentioned about 2 shirts for both me and my missus and the small-small items..

decided to get my modulo bodykit from acc. shop not from honda and maybe off to get it tinted as well this evening..  biggrin.gif
*
Envy la sad.gif I still have to wait until next week.

Anyway, it is good to have my car tinted by the Honda Service Center? I mean they settle everything up for me before I getting my car.

I did survey about the price and their price is somehow reasonable.

QUOTE(shawnloong @ Mar 20 2010, 09:29 AM)
Actually I kinda agree with OmniMech on a 9 year loan, however I personally believe it should never be taken despite the car being new or (worst) second hand. 9 years for a car seems like something a person wishful wants beyond their means of affording it. By the time the vehicle is paid off, it may be practically worthless from all the money paid. Not shooting anyone, but its just financially specious. After all, a Civic is quite premium for its class and its not that you don't have a choice.

But not telling anyone how to spend their money. But just stay out of debt in the quickest time possible.
Also bear in mind, general cars are just liabilities in the end.

Just my blunt 2 cents. No offence to anyone.
Back to the main topic: Taffeta White 2.0 is expected to come in next week! biggrin.gif

Added on March 20, 2010, 9:34 am

Ooo... dual tail pipes sounds seductive!

Any exterior pictures of the newer FL?  smile.gif

Btw, I never understood the difference between the 1.8 & 2.0 in terms of the blue ambient light? 1.8 apparently doesnt have it, but I kinda see no difference, anyone to enlighten me on this?
*
Yeah, my SA just confirmed my car (White, 2.0) will somehow arrive next week and definitely come with the new spec (USB included) rclxms.gif

The exterior is pretty much the same like 09 Facelift version.

The exterior is suppose to get some enhancement ie. LED tail lights and from what someone posted, dual tail pipes! smile.gif

Added on March 21, 2010, 1:06 pm

Ahhhh... okay so it's just a small difference. Was wondering what it was thanks!  smile.gif
*
Dual tail pipes is standard even equip since the first launch.

About the "fully" LED tail light, this is not mention in the latest spec sheet. So it is still unknown or may just remain the same as 09 facelift version.

You got to learn how to accelerate and the way pressing the paddle. The car will learn your habit driving and suit to your mode. Civic using drive by wire.

Example as you keep high rpm and change gear and drop back for long, the car will enter sport mode. (rally)

The ambient light is just make you feel romantic and the mode. That is why it call ambient.  tongue.gif When you in very dark place, you can see the blue light shine to the gear stick surrounding. You can feel the calm mode.  wub.gif
*
Technically, the ambient light do provide clearer vision even in the dark environment.

For romantic, we do need something more than that I assume. tongue.gif

What do you expect from low profile tires? Comfort? Quiet? wink.gif

It is meant to be more positive feedback to the steering wheel which provide better handling and stability but also give a rougher ride because of less cushioning between the rim and the road, which sends each bump and road imperfection directly to the suspension. Therefore, changing tires won't do the trick on reducing the noise unless you try to increase the sidewall height (maybe from 45 to 55), or get an Accord instead of Civic. tongue.gif

Definitely nice but do remember one thing, you need to sacrifice your original panel and the new panel will not exactly be the same color with your dashboard and meter cluster panel. So that's why some people make it carbon fiber-like. tongue.gif

Do not ever trust what your SA said, even they can't really sure about the delivery date.

I've booked mine at 08 Jan and until today I'm still haven't get my car yet, my SA was delay the expected date month to month until I get frustrated.

Finally he promise me will delivery within this week, two days to go, I'm sure you guys know how's my feeling right? biggrin.gif
