Need an advice here.. Do you guyz think I need to wax after getting my car?

I planning to tint Ray Barrier. Got quote RM1600 full set plus free Bali trip. Worth it?  hmm.gif

Yes, white is definitely need to wait longer. I just got my car yesterday (T.White, 2.0) and I booked mine at early Jan this years. Wait almost 4 months and the expected delivery date keep on delay.

Anyway, finally get it yesterday and everything working charm and fully satisfaction, WHITE is the best thumbup.gif

they wan to come out new type-R?? drool.gif  drool.gif

They might not coming with the new type-R since Honda is concerning about environmental issue and that's the reason why they discontinue the current type-R beside of the market itself.

Perhaps, a "hybrid" type-R? tongue.gif

*
Yes, just let your SA do it for you. If you wish to get some really nice number, ask your SA to find some "middle man" who holding or tendering huge amount of nice number in a roll for profit. And of course do ready extra money for it, the price cost a boom, at least for me. biggrin.gif

what do you guys think? should i wait for the white color or just take the silver? I love the white color but somehow i dont want to mimic the type r
*
No more type-R for you to "mimic" soon. tongue.gif

Just follow your heart and if you do really like T.White, it is worth to wait.

If June, can tender first if you really want a specific number, but 2301 should be easy to get via open numbers also provided you go early. I think you can only tender for WTW now since it must be before those specific letters are opened. This means tender for WTV 2301 is not possible, but I don't think it's available anyway. The current number is already WTV 8356 today. So 2301 sudah lepas and is likely taken. Try WTW lah, quite nice also.

As for doing it yourself, not so sure, but I do think you need to. Otherwise, the runners would go out of business.

WTW is way better than WTV and it is "hot" thumbup.gif

I wash my car almost every day.. icon_rolleyes.gif

To avoid your car get dirts just park in door parking..

Wanna ask you guyz.. what is your new facelifted 2.0 fuel consumption? Mine about 11litre/100km shakehead.gif .. driving mostly KL and PJ area
*
Car in white are definitely hard to maintain and wash everyday won't work sometimes since driving under a heavy rain may cause dirt and watermark everywhere at the next days.

My white baby leaving plenty of black stain (watermark) even after I washed it with premium car wash material. What should I do? HELP sad.gif

QUOTE(lighter @ May 11 2010, 04:09 PM)
Damn.. i got my new Civic 2.0S 2 weeks back. SA sent my car for tinting and I collect my car in Ecotint Hartamas tinting shop. After few days I realized whenever I wash my car or got into rain, everytime I wind down and wind up my car windows inner part were wet!
3 of the windows having this problem.

I went to Honda SC for my first service and complain about this. They claimed that it was caused by the tinting shop. So after car service I straight away drive my car to Ecotint Hartamas, they said its because of the rubber not good enough. Ask me send back to SC.
Then one of the Ecotint sales girl said wait for my manager got her new Civic then we will show whether her new car got this problem or not. What the hell man even you show me or not I don't care I just want to solve the current problem!

So I called up my SA ask him to settle for me. He said he will discuss with Honda CS's manager and get back to me.

WTH! Even my old Proton Wira also never have this kind of problem. Somemore this Civic can buy 6 of my old Wira.

Anyone can enlight me what to do? Just wait? Wait until when?  mad.gif

P/S: Never send your car to Ecotint Hartamas. They tinting skill sux! I tinted Ray Barrier, after few days got my new car my rear window part of the tinting film came out, roughly about 1 feet large. I sent it back to the shop and they touch up for me but still alot of bubbles. I ask them to replace new one for me. They said can but we won't guarantee if we damage your heater. ZZzzzZZZZZ............ vmad.gif
*
If you don't mind could you clarify more about the problem (bold)?

The window get wet even in the sunny day after you wash your car or after raining?

I wash my car with TurtleWax ICE super shine after wash. You should dry up your car after washing. Or else sure will leave watermark on your car body or windows.  So dry it as dry as possible.
*
I'm using TurtleWax car wash premium series to wash my car but some black watermark will still exist and can't be wear off even I rub it hardly. I think I need to wax it off.

Not true. If your car have some problem with electrical thing, SC will ask you disconnect the 3rd party alarm to have them for check. Otherwise they blame on 3rd alarm. Cause most of the SA don't have much knowledge on electrical thing. Specially new car.

I have an experience on this situation.

Do you really need so many lock? Crazy right? rclxub.gif Just lock your whole car will take 10min. Ha....

Just use steering lock is enough.

Install a GPS tracking and track by yourself for what?

If your car get stolen, can you confront the thieft if you know where your car is? Will you risk your life to fight them? hmm.gif

If your car get stolen in the middle of the night and tommorow mornng you only realize, wil you go over to country border to get back your car?   hmm.gif
*
True on the bold. I wonder will you really go and get back your car? I think your car already being broken down into pieces and selling all around the region. Once your car is steal, I don't think you want it back. Just claim insurance and buy a new one instead. biggrin.gif

they will anounce it next year...so i think 2012 then malaysia will be selling it.

Accordingly, Civic 9th Gen will be launched in Tokyo auto saloon show in Q4 2011, the 9th Gen model may landed in Taiwan in 1st or 2nd Q of 2012.
Then Thailand, we are after. So the 9th Gen may landed here in Q4 2012 but most likely will be Q1 in 2013 as common new year period.

Anyone here did the Auto Foam? I'm considering between Auto Foam and Ultra Racing Bar.
I would like to know the price of AF and I already surveyed for the bars.

2. same no light as well.. is normal quite hard to close, erm.. nevermind this i will try to complain, see what can they do..
3. average 400-430 only ar.. erm.. quite high FC, but i admit i am a hard stepper la.. nevermind.. since that's what normal.. i will try to keep a record on the FC..

thanks for the reply.. ^.^

For the sound, more specifically having "Kik Klok" sound when you engage your gear from "D" to "R" or even from "R" to "D" and will normally notice during parking.
It is a well known issues that happened to many FD, SC usually claim that is because our FD is chain driven and blah blah blah....
Better ask them to have a look at your exhaust gasket and normally they will replace a new gasket for you. But bear in mind that replacing new gasket can only last a period of time then the problem will return (some people said about 10k mileage).

For the "passenger side drawer", are you referring to the glove compartment?
If yes, our FD having light but make sure to have your headlight opened. At least mine having yellow light but I'm not sure those pre-FL version.
That's not every hard to close though, just push it up gently until you hear a "click" sound, no sweat. smile.gif

I just did it not too long ago on my FD2. It's good, but depends on your expectation. It makes the paint smooth and easy to clean, but don't expect the same deep warm lustre of waxing and don't expect stone chip protection.

So, get it done if you want to make your life easier when cleaning your car, especially if you don't believe in paying RM 300-400 for a proper detailing session every few months.

Give Raymond at PPS a call if you want a demo. He'll be more than willing to explain and show you.
*
Which worth the money then?
I think both are same in long term basis. By the time you wash your car with strong chemicals material, it could probably remove a certain portion or all of the wax, sealant, coating on your paintjob and swirl mark also will appear after a several times of wash even after PPSed. sad.gif

My SA just like to ignore me, maybe I look like a kid or what shakehead.gif
