Hi guyz.. I realize something weird with my 2.0s RPM.
Whenever I drive at 90km/h the RPM will at 2000rpm (5th gear)
Sometimes I drive at 90km/h the RPM will at 2400-2500rpm and it will slowly drop to 2000rpm with consistant 90km/h.
anyone can tell me how it works?

QUOTE(gregy @ Jun 28 2010, 01:27 AM) It's called torque converter lockup. Once your car is moving at a constant speed, the torque converter is locked, allowing the car to cruise in its highest ratio (5th gear). When in 5th gear and the rpm is at 2400-2500 rpm, the torque converter is still slipping to generate enough torque to get the car to a constant speed. It's like a manual car, if you half-clutch it the rpm is higher even though you're in a certain gear, generating higher torque. You might also notice that when your TC is locked up at 2000 rpm and you press the throttle to go just a bit faster, the rpm goes up again to 2400 plus. The TC is then disengaged from lockup. The best way to look after your gearbox and get the best FC is to try and cruise in TC lockup mode. You don't need 2000 rpm to engage lockup. If you drive at a constant 70km/h, the GB will initiate lockup at around 1550 rpm. ahhh... understood now.. thanks for the explaination..

QUOTE(ub3rg33k @ Sep 23 2010, 08:47 AM) Guys, one question that strangely enough I can't seem to find online. Does anyone know what is the largest memory size for the USB drive supported by a 2010 FD2 HU? My 4GB Sandisk one works fine, but it says unsupported when I plugged in a 16GB one. Although funnily enough, it seems to detect my friend's 16GB Sony drive. Weird, not sure if it's formatting or size that is the problem. you need to format your thumbdrive to FAT32 4KB or lower..

hi guyz.. need suggestion from you guyz.. there's another 2 weeks for my 3rd service.. i'm thinking to change fully synthetic engine oil.. but my friend was saying that fully synthetic doesn't give you performance and less fuel consumption..
i check honda website they have SM5W-30 which is very high fuel efficiency. i plan to get that but i need to know how many KM it can last?
or should i use back mineral?
thanks..

QUOTE(jeffreylim1 @ Oct 14 2010, 01:08 PM) This is what I been told during my 2nd service too.... so no point go for fully synthetic oil..... QUOTE(FrostLance @ Oct 14 2010, 08:13 PM) yep its true...damn stupid honda malaysia wanna earn extra $$$ by doing this policy. Same applies to my new 2.0 accord. what a shame. Even kia Fully synt last 10km for their service i've just read the user manual.. it stated there for Normal Engine Oil can last for 10,000KM. I assume Normal is fully synthetic.. so actually civic can last for 10,000KM if you're using fully synthetic

QUOTE(EyraYus @ Dec 17 2010, 09:32 PM) my rear is actually Modulo skirting from Honda. What make it look ugly is the muffler is too big, so can get it to the center it fit well with stock muffler. If its Module from Honda i guess it would be nicely fit. Not to mention 3rd party brand or imitation..
