Do not ever trust what your SA said, even they can't really sure about the delivery date.

I've booked mine at 08 Jan and until today I'm still haven't get my car yet, my SA was delay the expected date month to month until I get frustrated.

Finally he promise me will delivery within this week, two days to go, I'm sure you guys know how's my feeling right?  biggrin.gif
*
I think we're getting the same batch. I booked mine end of Feb 2010. SA called me this morning confirm my car is ready. Tomorrow morning do car number registration then I can get my car tomorrow night.

Need an advice here.. Do you guyz think I need to wax after getting my car?

I planning to tint Ray Barrier. Got quote RM1600 full set plus free Bali trip. Worth it? hmm.gif

Do you know what is the purpose of tint film use for? If it can let the smart tag or gps can detect, that mean the film is not good enough. It is not 99.9% blocking whatever ray from the sun.

The tint film is protect you.

I use Ray Barrier for my new wife. Heard my friend said Ray Barrier might have some problem using smart tag and gps. Tomorrow I will test it out.. sweat.gif

Car in white are definitely hard to maintain and wash everyday won't work sometimes since driving under a heavy rain may cause dirt  and watermark everywhere at the next days.

My white baby leaving plenty of black stain (watermark) even after I washed it with premium car wash material. What should I do? HELP  sad.gif
*
I wash my car with TurtleWax ICE super shine after wash. You should dry up your car after washing. Or else sure will leave watermark on your car body or windows. So dry it as dry as possible.

Damn.. i got my new Civic 2.0S 2 weeks back. SA sent my car for tinting and I collect my car in Ecotint Hartamas tinting shop. After few days I realized whenever I wash my car or got into rain, everytime I wind down and wind up my car windows inner part were wet!
3 of the windows having this problem.

I went to Honda SC for my first service and complain about this. They claimed that it was caused by the tinting shop. So after car service I straight away drive my car to Ecotint Hartamas, they said its because of the rubber not good enough. Ask me send back to SC.
Then one of the Ecotint sales girl said wait for my manager got her new Civic then we will show whether her new car got this problem or not. What the hell man even you show me or not I don't care I just want to solve the current problem!

So I called up my SA ask him to settle for me. He said he will discuss with Honda CS's manager and get back to me.

WTH! Even my old Proton Wira also never have this kind of problem. Somemore this Civic can buy 6 of my old Wira.

Anyone can enlight me what to do? Just wait? Wait until when? mad.gif

P/S: Never send your car to Ecotint Hartamas. They tinting skill sux! I tinted Ray Barrier, after few days got my new car my rear window part of the tinting film came out, roughly about 1 feet large. I sent it back to the shop and they touch up for me but still alot of bubbles. I ask them to replace new one for me. They said can but we won't guarantee if we damage your heater. My car 2.0s has gone abt 2k km since I bought it last month

im getting abt 380 kms to every 42 litre.

which makes for about 9kms to the litre?

Not sure if its good or bad .

Probably cause I have a heavy right foot.
*
QUOTE(ZeroSP @ May 10 2010, 06:59 PM)
That's about average... I am getting 9KM/L to 11KM/L depending driving condition... If outstation then can get 14KM/L...
*
QUOTE(ozak @ May 11 2010, 10:17 AM)
9km/l is a bit low. New car average can get 12km/l for city drive.

I know you like vtec.
*
Mine about 9KM/L too.. I drive 40% highway and 60% city.

Those who just got your car try it out and let me know are you having the same issue or not please...

Unless my car is some super version. THey are bsing you my friend.

Added on May 12, 2010, 10:14 amCould it be those new honda cars have been tinted by them already ?

Why dont you ask them to try a non tinted car .

Mine was done by Vkool, I honestly have yet to see this problem happen, and neither has this problem been reported in other civic forums, at least i have never seen stuff like that.
*
Actually those cars they have tested infront of me are purely new and just ready for tinting. sigh

I have the same problem here:

Finally I just for my Civic FD 1.8 last night (rainy night). In the show room while inspecting my car, I remember Brother Lighter mentioned about the inner part of the window will be wet if you wind down the windows after car wash or raining.

I tried during the car inspection, noticed I have the same problem here. But my wife said it doesn't make sense we open the windows during raining day. haha  blush.gif  blush.gif. And I feel since this is the know issue (brother lighter mentioned that other Honda cars also having the same problem. So we just accept it and collect the car.

So did brother lighter get this issue solve by the service center?

Any brother out there having the same problem ?
*
I went to Angkasa Honda Service Centre at Jln Ipoh last 2 days. The Service Advisor test another 2 Civics infront of me. Before he tried I told him "please don't show me all these things no matter other car got problem or not I want my current issue to be solved!" He said I am just showing you.. tiuz.. what's the point?

I direclty talk to the SC Manager call Mr.Tan. He just smile at me and said give him 10 minutes. He went back to office and called up Honda HQ. They said this is Honda design problem so they can't do anything.

I voice up and said "This is not Proton ok? Even Kancil also don't have such issue. If i knew this problem earlier I will rather go for Mazda3 than civic!" Then he said he HQ said "Some people can accept so they will just don't bother, if some people do'nt accept we will try to find out a solution."

They said might modify my car. Just give them another week they will call me. So i just wait and see. doh.gif

Actually I've thought of modify it myself. I really damn sien dealing with this kind of Malaysian style service. cool2.gif

Bro lighter this sounds like the recent honda problem where it involves the power window and water seeping in

means they will only start recalling if an accident happen in malaysia? rclxub.gif

I just called up Jln Ipoh Honda SC just now. Surprisingly the lady agent still remember me. Maybe I'm famous in the SC already. She said they are trying to modify the power window rubber and experiment it first then will get back to me. But I'm not sure how long do I need to wait blush.gif

bro lighter, if i drive that time, (with all the radio OFF) i can hear the wind coming IN, is it this is so call the power window/water seeping in symtoms? =.="
*
hmm.. I don't think so. I believe this is normal for all Honda cars. You can compare Japanese cars and European cars. Japnese car door rubbers are so much softer than European cars. Before I bought this car I already know Honda soundproof not that good.

But anyway I really didn't expect so many problems with Honda cars. shakehead.gif
