I used to be a really hardcore reader, basically all I do whenever I had free time. Novels (crime and horror), some biographies and books dealing with social science and economics are my favourites now. I don't mind "sensationalised" science and topics in the books I read, makes them more quirky and interesting sometimes. However, nowadays with the internet I find myself looking for articles online to read as well as watching documentaries, so have abandoned books to some extent
I find people who don't like the look of dog-eared books interesting, because I love a good, battered book. Shows that it has been handled a lot and (most probably, but not always) read a lot. Maybe this is because I used to buy a lot of second-hand books. I couldn't afford to buy enough new books to feed my addiction, lol.
I also find it no problem at all to read e-books unlike some of the more traditional bookworms, love them for their portability and the ease of finding books I would never have found physically here.

I try to rebuild my interest, it's kinda hard.
