well its down to personal preference really.. thinner strings are easier to bend but to my ears they sound less punchy... thats why i prefer to use heavier strings. then there's also the rust issue...

anybody plays 8-38 strings? i've never tried them before but i would imagine them being really really light
 9-42 is already really light, can't imagine how 8-38 would feel... |

blacktrix uses the zakk wylde boomers.. i bought a pack last time but for some reason decided to sell it to a friend instead =/
