I'm guessing from your specs, you're playing electric guitar?
Elixer doesn't have strings for electric if i'm not mistaken. They are one of the best for acoustic though.
Erm, ernie ball for electric?

Elixirs do have strings for electric guitar..in fact they even have it for Bass guitars....but they are more expensive compared to ernie balls

Errr, there's no best guitar strings, all preference. From what I see you shouldn't use thin string gauge, .8 strings are freakin thin and if you go all Herman Ri with it, it's gonna break. Try light top heavy bottom gauges(dunno what's the size la), the bass strings are thicker so you get beefier tone.

adui, air guitar strings also dunno meh? u very cutelar fren.
anyway, u can try using GHS boomers. the string not badlar. but if u 1 2 shred faster than a train, i think u should go for 9.42 or 9.46. but i see SRV string thick kau kau also can play fast wor. SRV normally use 10's or 11's depending on his fingers

well its down to personal preference really.. thinner strings are easier to bend but to my ears they sound less punchy... thats why i prefer to use heavier strings. then there's also the rust issue...

I like Dunlops at the moment. Using Both the Thin and Thick versions of the Zakk Wylde set (.46 for Thin, .60(!!!!!) for thick) and they perform very well. I'm going to swap in Zakk's acoustic set once my Elixirs wear off........ which might take a while.
Will use their regular extra thin strings (.042-.009) for my RR3 and maybe my Razorback.......

boomers is a good string for me.
i used ernie ball, addario, fender bullet, and ghs boomer from their 0.09 to 0.11
you need to feel them all to decide which 1 suit's your playing.
ernie ball was ok for me, i was a huge fan of addario before, but now i use GHS eric johnson cause i just felt like it first time i used it on my guitar. i dont think i would use other gauge in near times.
there is no best gauge, if there is one u probably heared it by now and everyone had started using it

I've tried daddario, ernie balls and elixirs. currently using daddario. nice. Still pretty good condition. Already 3months+ o.o ernie ball um.. was nice while it lasted.. few days after restring, the strings already can see the coating disappear. elixirs pretty okay i guess.. could last pretty long.. but i feel it's not good for bending. broke the string while bending. same thing happened to my friend who used the trem. haha.. anyone got other good strings to recommend? how are DR strings?

using the red DR strings on my prs and washburn. so far no complaints. strings stay in tune, have a nice feel to it (silky and smooth). Also, the tone lasts longer. and u gotta admit.. red strings+purple burst = godly This post has been edited by ninehneh: May 15 2009, 11:15 AM

just drove past Harmony Music with my dad on the way to TMPoint. It looks run down tbh =/. Anyway I like Martin SP strings. The one in the gold coloured box. Sounds great on my acoustic guitar. They are slightly thicker than D'addarios so I assume more bass. I don't really like D'addario EJ16s. To me takes too long to break in and my fingers sliding up and down the strings turn the strings white in no time. But they sound good after breaking in.
