QUOTE(knuckleballer @ Jul 21 2009, 01:30 AM) thats so sad bro. normally this problem would be fixed by just updating the firmware.my frens set which is midland set was not spared from the problems as well. her problem was 1 of a kind. after repairing, she couldnt change profile. when she goes to settings, den profile, and press on profile, the phone screen will go blank and restart happens. :S downright weird. and the irony is she has sent in to midland 3 times already. |

wa, you all really kesian la. send so many times to repair. i guess its really up to luck. by the way, Nokia 5800 doesnt fair good also my friend's set(original) always got stripes on his screen and sometimes cant see the whole screen. I got some seriously weird problem with my c905, whenever i am in the camera mode and press the option button, it brings me back to the main screen turning off my camera instantly. Is it because of my option/media button looses its tactile feed back or is it ............?

QUOTE(chelseafanz @ Aug 24 2009, 01:15 PM) got to say that the sony ericson centre is aint not that good...i was referring to the midland set. Sent to plaza berjaya for quotation on changing the front naviagtion keypad...quoted with some price...then ok lor...sent in, need to wait 3 days...still ok, then hand itchy go and call the SC in amcorp mall, WOW...they quote me different price which is cheaper by half and only need 2 hours to finish change...WOW WOW WOW...that is wat midland provide...which will force people to get an AP phone instead.... thats why we already said here that ap and ori handsets are the same except for their warranty. With ap, you'll get a wider choices( both the ap company and the shop) to get your handset fixed. I am a Ap user and i changed my front and numbered keypad twice with no cost(you must prove that it is a problem who is not your doing first la). |

QUOTE(mode893 @ Sep 16 2009, 03:35 PM) If the problems are not congenital (ie existing defects from the electronic parts by manufacturer) there may be hope but chances are, they've already stocked all the parts up in a big bulk to save cost so the only thing they can control now is assembly quality. But you might want to keep surveying around to see if aything has improved. i think i know what you saw, what you saw is just sample pictures taken from SE Satio/Idou during its development phase. During the congress, they just put in a 7 MP camera module. According to the official specs, it will house the first in the camera phone world- a sony DSLR camera image sensor (it is really BIG) sony DSLR alpha series to be exact. So, expect real camera like quality pictures from Sati/Idou. Yes, actually once you've gone Xenon you can never go back. I was eyeing both C901 and Satio but I'm afraid it would limit my phone preferences in the future, plus I love the challenge. I'll post a comparison shots between my W995 and my friend's C905. Even without the flash, C905 has the advantage over W995 and I think SE reduced the cam driver quality on purpose because if you look at Satio photo samples, they look eerily similar to W995's cam module |

please check the manufactured date. the 2009+ batch should be problem free(at least). the SEUS update is according to your phone country of origin. when you start SEUS with your phone plucked in, in will scan for firmware and the country will be written in abbreviation like CHI or something la. i forgot. when i bought this phone the problems it give me is keypad loose tactile feeling fast and the slider is not sturdy. my phone now is like a franckenstein phone, parts i choose from other phone i know is no problem like some from W910(still the best SE phone). you all could try this when fixing.
