White by Kenya Hara. Very philosophical approach of perception of the colour white. Rarely read books of this sort but I find this interesting.

Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark. Mystery/thriller genre.

The writings by this authoress is rather formal. Not sure if it's because of the era. I feel the conversations between the characters are quite proper.

Nice to know you read in the lrt too! I don't commute often but the few times I do, I'd be reading in the lrt and sometimes I wonder if it's strange for me to do this cos everyone else is looking at their phones instead o.O

nah, it's perfectly normal lol
i rather read than wasting my time on waiting train/bus, you know the puclic transportations in kl is a joke  doh.gif
*
So far lrt and brt is alright for me. Ktm is like random schedule. Rapidbus few years back, my first experience was also my last! Totally uncomfortable experience. But I hear they upgraded the buses and the system. Is it still the same?

The Essential Teachings of Zen Master Hakuin

I've always been interested in the Japanese Zen philosophy in their aesthetics and how 'white space' and 'nothingness' has a purpose and meaning.

Just borrowed Stephen King's 'Under the Dome' and Roslan Jomel's 'Selamat Datang ke Malaywood' from Perpustakaan Raja Tun Uda. It's nice to see they are bringing in new titles lately smile.gif

Will start on them after I finish reading this book on Chronotherapy (halfway through it)

Update: 3rd June, reading Under the Dome. It's really really good!

I'm reading Stephen King too, even though he is very good in describing the details in his story.
I find it quite distracting, Richard Laymon is more straight forward and suspense.  tongue.gif
Loved both.
*
I've not read Richard Laymon. I'll look out for his books. Which title is most suspense? xD

Recently finished reading 'Yasmin How You Know' which consisted of short and witty anecdotes by Yasmin Ahmad's family, colleagues and friends about her. I absolutely love her after reading this!

Currently reading 'The Stuff You Can't Bottle' - advertising book.

Next read: Harper Lee's 'To Kill a Mockingbird'.

I only done "In the dark" and "Island", kind of nice but some people might not like it.
His description of woman's body is quite detailed, if you know what I meant. Near erotica I guess, since I never read any erotica.
Nonetheless the story is very suspense, that I can't really put it down.
So far don't have any books that make me feel the same, I always distracted by other things. Reading is very slow since I started working.
*
Haha okay. I'll try to start with those two titles first since it makes you feel can't put down. lol.gif

Still reading, so far so good and I like Jo , hehe smile.gif
Murder story not really my thing (maybe I scared lol )
*
I think Jo was my favourite too. She's the eldest and the sensible one right?

Hehe this murder story is different from the usual murder/thriller/crime genre. If you've read Asian writers, especially Middle Eastern ones, their style of writing is very poetic. Sometimes it feels lengthy when they're describing one thing in a few pages tongue.gif but very rich in imagery on the other hand.

Currently re-reading 'Gunn's Golden Rules' by Tim Gunn and 'Mentaliti Jamban' by Khairul Abdullah. Targeting to finish reading by this weekend as they're both easy reads smile.gif
