finally had the chance to read again!
read: Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

not bad but i couldn't really immerse myself into the story as it was written in script format, so i had to let my imaginations run wild.

next read: The Last Guardian, Jeff Grubb.

sorry off-topic,

You read a lot of books. How do you find the time tho?

i recommend reading daily biggrin.gif
i read usually while waiting for something:
public transport
food
people
instead of facebooking or instagram or twitting

and schedule a before-sleep reading time eg 1hour or so

you can read a book a week!

4 of 5 stars!  thumbsup.gif

This may not be as good as Big Little Lies which is my favorite book from the author but I still thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

There may not be ground-breaking twists and turns but the author really put so much effort bringing these rich and vivid characters to life. That has always been her strength and she's good at it. I love getting to know the characters and even their daily lives are interesting to explore. The first half of the book is funny (as expected) while the second half gets a bit serious with these little twists surfacing, some of which are expected but some I didn't see coming. Overall, a satisfying read with insight into domestic life, friendship, secrets and more.

recently finished Hannibal Lecter series by Thomas Harris and The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss.

Hannibal series is crazy read, just too good and too short, in my opinion.
I would love for it to go on and on and on about Lecter but I guess that would take the fun out of him.

Kingkiller series, to me, was great at first, but then became quite draggy.

The Hannibal series is also on my to-read list. How did you find Harris' writing style? Heavy and needs some digesting, or would you put it as light reading - can't think of a better example but Harry Potter and Dan Brown's novels would be in this category, in which I can easily blaze through the whole book and immerse in the story.

I wouldn't say it was a easy breezy read, but the story flows really well.
Yeah, I would put this book with Dan Brown novels, once you start reading, you don't want to put it down till you are at the back cover, wanting for more!
