Should be said enough use for normal user. As mine sometimes run out of RAM when I'm on alot of program such as iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto, photoshop and etc together. If you're not using those heavy software together at the same time then it's more than enough.

i dunno what are the technical differences but if i have to guess, KTA uses better quality chips. KTA are tested for macs too, so they work perfectly. KVR is more of a gamble, they may or may not work

Xirality : if you can't understand what he's talking about, why are you listening to him?

you can use ANY RAM that matches your spec. the risk with non-certified RAM is that in sleep mode (when you close the lid of a portable Mac) ... you might suffer a system hang / crash. my suggestion is simply save everything before shutting the lid. so even if it crashes, you'll lose no data.

if that is not an acceptable risk for you, then go ahead n buy the certified RAM.

that guy was spewing bull. if apple uses proprietary RAMs, they would be much much much much more expensive. certified RAM simply means they are guaranteed to work. non-certified RAMs often work anyway
