I got noob question to ask...

b4 tiz i connect my 360 with my Samsung 40 inch lcd tv with HDMI cable..

and i juz bought Samsung T220 lcd which is 22" for my pc...so i decided to

bring my xbox to my room and connect it with my new T220..

im thinking to buy HDMI>DVI adapter...but how about the audio? lol

is it any other way i can connect my 360? Can aybody suggest me simple way to connect them both.....

actually u can use ur component audio cable but u will need to mod it so that both component and hdmi can be connected 2getha.

they've built the ports in such a way that you can't have the standard component/composite video cable, with its crucial optical audio output, plugged in at the same time as HDMI. Instead, you're supposed to drop a frightening amount of money on the official HDMI cable with audio adapter. Balls to that. See the big plastic box at the end of the standard video cable that connects to the console? Wedge a knife or screwdriver into the join and twist to pop it off. The result looks messy, but is small enough to plug in alongside a standard, cheapo HDMI cable.

What i did was, i had a hdmi to dvi cable. Naturally , you can't connect the component cable with the hdmi cable at 1 go or otherwise as the size doesn't allow you to. What i did was , snap open the hdmi casing (you need a hammer and knock it gently) and fix it to the xbox360 and then my lcd monitor. Then the component video cable, you got to jam it in , it'll take some effort, and once done, you can connect the audio jacks to your subwoofer and play the game on your monitor.

It works great. But if you're not up to it, get a vga adapter for the 360.

Doesn't the HDMI box on the Xbox 360 come with a TOSLINK Digital audio cable? Mine does.
I just hook up to my TV Via HDMI, and then use the TOSLINK to go into my receiver. Most PC units should have a TOSLINK connector.

xbox 360 vga cable is the best! no need to crack open anything!
my monitor dvi attached to pc graphic card
vga connect to xbox 360

then u need to buy a 3.5mm to 2 RCA female output (i bought from Sunway Pyramid IT shop for RM25)

plug the 3.5mm into the blue color slot behind the PC
under sound control, Options > Properties > Recording
select "Line In"

connect the xbox 360 vga component audio into the 2 RCA female

start xbox 360 (here u will hear xbox 360 sound but the monitor still haven't change to xbox screen),

change ur monitor setting from digital to analog (those buttons on ur monitor)

DONE!

P.S. When u turn off ur xbox 360 it will auto switch back to your PC

RM25 for that Y cable? that's a rip off! I bought for RM8.00 from a general audio shop.

err , the VGA box can be use for normal LCD ( only VGA input ) , and CRT monitor , can list down the device needed and the pricing please

erm,
when i bought the vga cable for my xbox, it came with the Y splitter. I dont think you need anything else.
Even if you did, like mentioned above, its about 3 bucks in lowyat only. I dont think it cost 25 bucks

as mentioned above, connect the mini audio jack to line in. Increase line in volume and mute your regular volume in your volume control when you switch from PC to xbox.or you can jack in straight to your speakers if you have a rca input. some more expensive speakers do have that.
