they're not really expensive if compared to parrots like scarlet macaw or blue & gold macaw. they're little devils though. brows.gif

i'd start the ball rolling then.

came back today with two toys for my grey, and bugger was like dang scared of them. seeing the reaction of my grey 'checking out' these new stuff in its territory is quite entertaining.

he always does that with new toys. then will yaya papaya when he 'conquered' the toys already.

great step! but how come got agreement for a few years later? that sounds cute haha.

greys, you can feed parrot mix, but not as a staple. the proper diet should also consist of cut fruits and vegetables as well...

ooh okay. but shipping the bird back here, its gonna be really dangerous.

ummm nope, generally not sprouts and cooked beans. sprouts isn't really tested and proven, as for cooked beans, i don't feed also. but i do give then long beans. they normally take the beans in them, then play around with the rest. (give minimally tho, too much can lead to diarrhea)

a simple search can actually get some results on what can be fed and what cannot be fed.

but personally i don't. cos sprouts, unless you're talking bout those organic super expensive type, i think don't feed ler. there's actually better alternatives here in msia, but sprouts, can feed ler, just don't feed taugeh! hehehe.

lol no no... of cos not taugeh.. yes i means all the seed n bean from organic shop to make sprouts smile.gif i don't even only feed tou geh for my rodents.. how can feed that to chico hehe..

because not all seed n bean can be sprout. some is poisoning when its in sprout stage. those will need to be cooked.

yupp. its a great talker.

among all parrots, greys have the greatest clarity in mimicking, but can be stubborn if asked to repeat after a person, unlike mynahs.

oh its a him btw.

CB ones are like from 2.5k onwards if i'm not wrong. wild caught ones are cheaper tho, but not really recommended.

great! waiting for more people owned by greys to report in!

Added on March 8, 2009, 4:13 amanyway regards to training it to talk, most greys do it at their own pace, and if they like it they'd do it. if not you can forget about it no matter how hard you try!
some tips here tho:
1. get a tape recorder.
2. record what you want it to speak.
3. keep playing it for like a week, preferably when no one's home to disturb your grey!

anyway bro malaysiangroup, what's your grey's name?

Hi all, Im AL da Great , more into snakes especially pythons. im helping a fren here who in charge of Weekend Morning Talk show called Hujung Minggu Malaysia aired on TV1 from 7.30am til 9.30am.

They have this segment called Aksi Si Comel, where every Sunday, one animal will be appeared in the segment with the owner. The hosts will ask the owner about the basic care of the animal. The purpose of the segment is to educate people the right way of keeping animals.

Here is the detail;
Name of the Segmen: Aksi Si Comel in Hujung Minggu Malaysia
Tv Station : RTM
Channel :TV1
Language: Bahasa Malaysia
Duration: 5-7 minutes
Storyline: The host come to your place, then straight to ur animal cage, interview owner abit about food, basic care n such then the host will go back

Before this the owner have to come to Angkasapuri Kuala Lumpur to join the segment but this time , they want to visit your house coz based on their experience, bringing the animal to the studio will make them stress.like before the host will ask basic husbandry about the animal and wanna see how animal keeper kept their animal.

Many people keep their birds in cages for life. If you could convert your balcony into a small aviary, it would be like a heaven for the bird. This is definitely much much better than keeping the bird in a cage.

You can't keep an eagle in Malaysia. Someone rescued one here recently. The eagle got tangled in a tree. This guy climbed 20ft high up the tree to bring the eagle down. The eagle is staying with him now.

Taken 2 years ago, looks about the same. Wish had the time to take it out to train etc., it gets very grouchy staying in the cage (cage is quite tall, it has plenty of room to go up/down) and at times we let it out. Brilliant imitator of sounds/voices, absolutely amazing. Destroys parrot-grade toys in days.

Very sorry. I have stopped selling harness. The only sizes left are S and M. Sun Conure uses XS.
BTW sun conures are easy to train free fly.

You need the receipt to apply for a license not for renewal. If you have a license just bring the license for renewal. They will issue you a new license.
