QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 22 2010, 05:20 PM) Honestly, there is no such thing like teacup maltese oh.... icic....People start calling them 'teacup' when they found out the pup is smaller than the other batch while the so called teacup or when the pup is actually grown smaller than the previous batch most of them actually fell sick when they still a pup so they tend to be more smaller compare to the rest. But nowadays people seek to find maltese which imported from Taiwan as their pup is smaller than local breed maltese. It is true some pups that was imported from Taiwan will actually grown smaller than the local breed but it still call "maltese" instead of 'teacup maltese" Not sure if you understand thou. I guess the price RM 4500 that quoted for you might be included the fees that the person forge to import the pups. But as far as I know maltese price with cert normally range about RM 2k++ is it the price for local breed is cheaper compare to the taiwan pup?? cause i ask the person, she said she is imported the pup from taiwan. but 2000++ can get taiwan breed??? cause 4500 is too expensive for me.... ur maltese is local or taiwan???? how big is them..? |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 27 2010, 01:21 AM) I suggest you to buy play pen if u want ya oh...cuz I used pen as well... for me pen is better cuz they got more space to run but decision is in ur hand. If you have enough budget u can opt to pen cuz the price for 4 pcs is just a lil bit more than the price of the small cage. for both cage or pen u can go to lyn pet store, got ppl sell it there =] cause im renting room only.. thinking to put maltese in my room.. so i think no place for play pen ya.... i saw there is one from Japan one... is queit expensive.. is it necessary to buy so expensive one??? or something like rm50 to 80 will do??? |

QUOTE(saingau @ Jun 27 2010, 02:49 AM) Peak_wei88, Hey..Just some input for you. 1. If you're renting a room, why would you need a cage? 2. Not wanting to spoil a breeder's business, but before you get a dog, you have to really think through very hard about this COMMITMENT, its like having a baby for 10-15 years. 3. Except that if its a human baby, after a few years, it can eat, shit and cleanup by itself. A dog cant. You literally have to take care of the 'baby' for life. 4. Do you think you can be attentive to the dog and make an effort to learn its behavioral patterns, i.e. as it grows older it can 'talk' to you. E.g. I have established an understanding with my dog whereby she will 'call' me for certain things, like she wants to go pee, or she wants to eat, etc. 5. How well will you take care of it? IMO, just feeding it the basic, cleaning up its poo, taking it out for a walk once in 6mths, taking it for a shower/grooming once in 3-6mths, bringing it to a vet only when a sickness/disease is severe, etc IS NOT taking care of a dog. Its just having a dog and its suffering silently. 6. The list can go on, but the bottomline is this a) Do you see yourself being accountable or have ownership of the dog for life? Or will you have it for a few years and then give it up for adoption? Alot of pet owners always say they are the former, but end up being the latter. b) On one end of the tangent, there are pet owners (oh I have a dog!) and on the other end, there are 'father/mother' to dogs (really really treat the dog like their own and really taken care very well. So where do you measure up? Added on June 27, 2010, 2:54 am Yea most likely prev owner/breeder never take care properly. Have you tried shaving her (or a crew cut) to do a 'reset'? really sincerely thanks for ur advice... actually i really think for it for quiet a long time.... i ald consider for many issue. at last i oso decide to have one maltese for myself... I believe i will be able to take care him very well..... Furthermore, im just study at KL. therefore, i m renting a room at KL. I still got 1 more year then i will be graduate and go back my hometown. Actually my hometowm got one pekingese. Therefore, this is not first time i own a dog. But that pekingese is my family dog. Therefore, i hope to have 1 for my own....... And able to share time with him...... Thx..... |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 27 2010, 03:16 AM) I rent a room as well but I still prefer play pen because for me I think pen is a better choice than a cage as I don't like my girl to be cage Muchan...Thx for ur advice ya....are u a student or working? make sure u got an agreement with ur landlord or housemate before u actually bring back or pay for ur puppy cuz there are so many cases in which 'owner' has to sell off the pup again due to the argument with their housemate, landlord etc and I do hope it wont happen to u. If you are a student you must also think for the future cost and money on hand which u need to spent for the starter kit like food, shampoo, grooming tools, etc because u need to spend more on if this is ur 1st pup as u don't have any necessities for the pup. Plus u gotta forged the money to pay for the vaccines, deworm n emergency fund for the vet if anything happen. But if u are working, please make sure you have time and want to commit to ur pup cuz there are also many cases ppl let out their pup with reason cannot cope up with working time which ended up no time to take care the pup. This is just a little advice from me, its up to u to take it or leave it the rest I agreed with the post above =] saingau I did think to shave her on the day I got her, but then the previous owner/breeder just shaved her fur so I thought I should try to 'safe' as much as I could haha so far she got lots of improvement as the stains not so 'dirty' as previously and her fur has started to grow and have lots of improvement as well. I guess feeding her good food, supplement, nice and loving environment plus LOTS of conditioner for the fur really pay off Ya... actually i oso got same idea. I will put him in the cage when im not at home only. If i back home i will definitely let him out to play with him... Cause using play pen does not have a tray to put his pee and poo right. Is it i need to get a Wee Wee Pad, let my pups to pee on it??? cause at first when i bring him back, is not toilet train yet.... How u toilet train ur pups? Ya...im a student... But this is not my first time to take care dog. I got one dog in my hometown. But, my family not allow let me bring it down. But, in KL, i oso need to spend all the money to buy the starter kit. I really agree to u, take care a dog is very hard and have to be patience. Sure....i ald discuss with my housemate abt this issue. I think they are no problem. I will be happy that they like my dog as well... |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 27 2010, 03:57 PM) My girl were trained on wee wee pad. You can opt to buy the litter tray and the pad. Oh...icic..For me I think toilet trained on pad quiet efficiency cuz as long as there is wee wee pad, my girl will go to the pad to do her business. Even when I bring her out, I just need to bring the pad along with me. So for me I find it really useful cuz as long as I have the pad she will go there to pee n poo But its still up to, having a cage also good if u gonna let him out while u're at home. but the toilet trained thing u gotta think which want u want as both cage n pad can be used to toilet trained ur pup So if i decide to put the wee wee pad in the toilet... For long term, do i still need to put the pad??? or he will go there to pee automatically??? Wee wee pad i saw got reuse and disposable one actually which one is better???? |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 27 2010, 09:53 PM) If u want to train ur pup to do his business in the toilet then u just trained him without using the pad as in u train him go to ur toilet if he wanna pee or poo. Like my friends dog, they trained their dog to do business in the toilet so they just need to bring them to the toilet then the will pee n poo there. Oh...clearly understand ya...if pad trained means whenever u put wee wee pad there, they will go there to pee n poo. Both disposable and re-use pad is same it depends on which want u want to use. disposable pad = u just need to throw them n use the new one but the ecofren or the re-use pad u can wash the pad to be use again. The pad can be wash for about 300x if not mistaken. I got both disposable and ecofren thou most of the time I use the disposable pad. When I'm running low of the disposable pad I will use the ecofren really thanks for ur help.. will start online searching for the wee wee pad.... Beside that, what brand of food u purchase for ur gurl?? |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jun 28 2010, 08:27 PM) important thing??? I'm not sure either haha Oh..icic....really thx for ur help ya..but I suggest u to feed the tear stain supplement on the early stage if ur pup developed any tear stain lor... then the food rite, if can u ask the breeder if he can pass u some of the current food he feed his pup. So if u wanna change the food, u can mix the kibbles slowly to change the food. btw, mind if I'm asking where are u studying? xD im on early stage to take care maltese... Hope can take care him well... hehe....now im study at Taylors oh.. stay at ara damansara there... near niu zhe sui.. u know??? u oso studying right???? where u study? |

QUOTE(muchan86 @ Jul 6 2010, 02:01 PM) For puppy they will cry whenever u're not at home. This is because he was in a new n different environment and since he's starting to know you, whenever u're not around he will cry cuz he's scared. Autumn also like that but then because I often bring her out cuz scared she's crying in the end she became too stick to me like cannot be separate from me Haha..ya oh..not sure haha I'm still not sure want to spay her or not... see how later when I'm decided keke Her 1st heat doesnt really comes a lot so I don't have any trouble dealing with it, but this time not as little as previous lol so I let her wear pampers or panties. Most of them time I let her wear pampers at home la cuz her hair is long if I din let her wear anything the fur easily get dirty sometimes feel so pity them... morning oso crying ask me wake up.. this few days bcoz of him, my life become so healthy... early in the morning have to wake up make food for him.. hehe...i oso scared he will very stick me.. so sometimes i will oso let him in the play pen.... sure.. when u free we can meet up ya.. bring ur girl and my boy to let them be friend |
