its not repair.. you just need to go inside windows installations and there is an option to overwrite it icon_rolleyes.gif

You can safely remove the old OS boot by going "Run > MSCONFIG > Boot" section actually. Just the old programs won't work anymore. You still can copy the pics or datas that is important to you tho.

doh.gif sweety thats what I did. I pressed R but no response. it showed all the partitions and asked me which partition i want to overwrite. which i did

now i got 2 windows folders

Windows
Windows.0

electronic devices has a tendency to fail on me sweat.gif

i was thinking about refomatting the whole partition - since my files and such are in other parititions

but i'll try out ur way first.
