 Ram of 5-5-5-18 at 1.8V vs Ram at 5-5-5-15 at 2.2V, What is the difference?

increasing voltage will lead to higher temps for the ram... but to go from 5-5-5-18 to 5-5-5-15 doesnt require u to change voltage la, so little tightening nonit increase voltage >"<

JEDEC specs are as follow for ur ram

800mhz 5-5-5-18 1.8v
1066mhz 5-5-5-15 at 2.2v


u should state wat ram u were using at 1st... well im to be blamed too for not asking u >"<

well jedec says u need 2.2v to operate 5-5-5-15 1066mhz, so follow it biggrin.gif... but u can always try to tighten the timing u know

well the jedec specs says 2.2v on 1066mhz... so if u put 2.2v, thats not considered overclocking, i wouldn't even call it overvolting...

overclocking simply means, ure going OVER the factory specification, and same goes to overvolting

spd will refer to jedec standard la @@...
ur actual frequency and timing will be under memory section...

if u wan put 1:1, make sure the multiplier for ram is 2... lets say ur bus speed 400, then ur ram must be ddr2-800 biggrin.gif
