is the nokia gps connected to gprs when we run it?y i check my bil got 10cents/kbyte?got any setting to turn it the connection off when using gps?i use digi postpaid @@
*
it has to dl the maps from somewhere right?in order to do this, it will need to connect to the internet, gprs or otherwise...a way around this is to install the maps using nokia map loader...

whooaa !! haha !!

sounds like 5800 is very good !! entertaiment phone !!
i heard about the red pattern 5800 and blue pattern 5800 , so i found out that red pattern 5800 is safer than using blue pattern 5800!!

then where to buy cuz i'm from seremban !!! i dun mind drive up to kl !!

budget is 1k to 1.2 k
*
there's one forumer selling an Ori 5800 for RM 1250 somewhere in the LYN garage sales there...look back a few pages in this thread...his link should be there...

e71 is for people who wants to use their phone for business...E is a business series phone anyway...5800 is more geared towards ppl who are looking for an entertainment phone...

i scare if i buy it from seremban !! scare they sell AP phone !! might be not safe !!!
ap or ori ??? distributor which wan ?? avaxx ?? zitron ???
ori sell how much on february ??? i dun mind go to kl / pj if the price is reasonable !!
*
we cannot predict what will happen to the prices in the future...it depends on demand and supply...

to check whether ori or ap, match the imei number of the phone to the box before buying and check for zitron/avaxx stickers as well as nokia original accessories sticker...

just now i saw n79 quite cool phone !! now i dun know whether wan n79 or 5800 ?? haha !! regret go in the n79 forum just now !! confused !! blur
*
n 79 is wayy more expensive, has a smaller screen and not touchable...the upside tho is having apps that have already been tested by a lot of the previous n series and has a 5MP carl zeiss...

I winder why even in nokia india website they got application for the 5800 while malaysia nokia website still got nothing, zzzzz ,

On a side note, even though this is a xpress music phone, can't nokia at least give some decent earphone like sony ericsson walkman series earphone, idun think it will add much into the production cost
*
1. nokia malaysia doesn't update their website often...once a month maybe?look at the products page...the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is still listed as coming soon =)

2. nokia doesn't have a music player line like sony which is the walkman...and second, people will just go with other branded headphones that is to their liking...bottom line is, nokia isn't a headphone kind of brand...i'm using philips one as my headphones now...

i'm not really satisfied as I am a photographer...I'd rather use my canon camera anytime...

but this is a handphone that has a built in camera, not a camera with a built in handphone...so, I didn't expect much especially when my Motorola L6 was using a VGA camera

Hi All. Just got my 5800, but i having problem getting the PC suite to work with the phone. After installing the pc suite, i follow the on-screen wizard, asking me to plug in the usb cable. After that, Windows pop up a screen asking to locate and install the driver. I allowed it. In awhile, an error message will pop up saying windows encoutered a problem installing the device. What did I do wrong? i am using vista ultimate by the way. Hope there is a sifu that can advise. Thx
*
update ur PC Suite so that it has drivers for the 5800...I'm using the most recent version of the Ovi Suite included in the box so I have no worries...

The earphones which came with my Motorola were really lousy as well..... I'm using Philips too now...

wah...finally...this thread is moving at super speed la...every time open, another 10 pages to catch up...90% crap (stuff that can be found on the 1st page, stuff that has been discussed etc.)

pana, maybe you can edit the title to say, "read first page before asking or be ignored" =D

one thing abt the 100% in ear headphones tho, when something hits the wire u can hear...and you cannot hear the surroundings clearly...dangerous when driving, cycling etc.

True indeed. When I use in-ear earphones and I play music at quite a high volume, I can't even hear the person next to me calling for me. However, the sound quality of in-ear earphones are great. biggrin.gif
*
no denying that...my bro has a pair of Creative...came with his Creative Zen 8GB...and another thing, in ears will place the speakers closer to the eardrum compared to the non-in ear ones...when that happens, ur ear drums might spoil faster...may cause deafness

dude...don't buy so expensive...headphones spoil very very easily...and the quality doesn't defer much from one or the other...
