I am SPM grad myself, so I'll just state my 2 cents.

I get into college directly after SPM (TARC by the way), and started pursuing my Diploma cert there. After 2 years I went down to KL to further pursue the Advanced Diploma cum Degree cert.

And now I'm working, at just the age of 22. (Coming 23 end of this month smile.gif ) For me I'm quite grateful I can graduate without repeating.

For me, I'm the kind of guy who prefer to get out there and learn the "Street smarts" value faster instead of being a bookworm and keep learning all the time. That's why I've been working part time after my PMR, SPM, and even diploma years.

There's alot of perspective you can consider with the path you want to take:
Money? If money is not an issue, why not just pursue a degree now?
Future? If you aren't sure what you wanna be in the future, you might want to consider taking this STPM years to consider your future job.
Ego? Being STPM grad makes you feel more bangga? biggrin.gif Or being a Degree grad at the age of 22/23 makes you feel special when you come out working?

Hope that helps.

just imagine at the age of 22, you wil be graduated with a Degree from IPTA .while it take up to age 24 to complete a degree in Local Uni...
in 2 year, you might gain a lot of knowledge of your work...

Agree... working experience matters more when you come out to work next time.

I'm having the same case with you, gsrc.

I remembered working on some small projects before at DiGi/Maxis for some period of time, and there are technical staffs there who are the same age as me. Some are younger than me also. I've seen a lot of young talents there.

For me, I would emphasize more on being street smart and also working experience. Nowadays economy is bad and it's not easy to get a job as fresh grad (I've gone through that process before), so I would say, it's better to graduate earlier and gain as much experience as possible.
