Ok, i'm a Teamcity member, i'm not a committee member or even involved in most of the club activities, but i believe in having only one club so that our voices carry weight when talking to Honda Malaysia, by establishing another club for the same model we are just making it harder to be taken seriously.

For accord owners, there is HAVOC to cover all variants. havoc = honda accord variants owner club.

Teamcity should be the same for all city members. Right now i know we have members who are owning the even older generation.

Someone mentioned too many Ah Bengs in Teamcity in another thread, well the club is pretty much open to anybody who wants to join. How are you going to prevent Ah Bengs from joining this new club ???

I get your view point on this matter.
I think I've said it somewhere in this thread, maybe page 2 or something that we should and can be affiliated to Team City as it will be useful in the events we need to voice our concerns to Honda Malaysia. But I think the reason why we want to 'create' this Club was more to having gathering and discussion with people using the same car. The problems those face from 1G and 2G City(s) might and will be different to that from the 3G. I guess we're open for suggestions on a couple of things
1) Creation of a stand-alone club with affiliations to Team City
or
2) A sub-group for the 3G be created under the purview of Team City.

In terms of Ah Bengs, I'm not the 'voice' of the others, but I agree IMHO that there will be no way we can prevent anybody who wants to join.. As long as they have the same interest as the collective group, I think that's alright. So far so good, all those who have signed up are rather decent smile.gif

for tat point....i would suggest if can held a talk with TeamCity committee, probably reorganize the forum to cater for different generation of City, each has their own similar subforum to cover some vastly different issue, yet have some other cater for general topics.

as sysh said, no point of having too many forum/fan club jz by dif of generation....
our purpose should be closing the gap, not widen the gap....
after all, all existing city owner oso always keep tracking of head and news of any latest city....knowledge sharing is the point here, not to split class/generation

Could you hook me up with a Team City committee member? Wouldn't mind giving it a go.  nod.gif
What ever it is, guess we'll still push for some identity since the platforms are pretty much different.
But I guess some preliminary discussion will start the ball rolling. What do you say? smile.gif

Added on January 24, 2009, 8:04 amabout the platform.....although chassis is dif....
the market segment is the same....hence we probably talk about the same group of owner here...which has not much dif in market demand, taste, etc.
there is still a lot common, with difference.....
we r talking about diversity, and inclusiveness here biggrin.gif
in fact engine block is entirely the same, jz tuned to apply i-vtec.
