QUOTE A series of injuries have restricted El Nino to six goals this season - all away from home. The Spain international's last strike at Anfield came against Man City in May. Now approaching full fitness, Torres is desperate to make the Kop bounce with delight once more in a fixture which brought his first goal in English football back in August 2007. The 24-year-old said: "It was my first game at Anfield in front of the Liverpool fans so it is a very special memory for me. I also scored my first goal in that game so it was the beginning of everything. "Because of this there would be no game that would be better for me to score again at Anfield. "I know there will be so many people watching the game and our fans will be really wanting us to win so hopefully I can play at my best and score a goal. "The record is something I want to change – for me, for my team and for the fans. "Like I said, this has been a strange season for me and I have not been able to play in as many games or score as many goals as I would have liked but hopefully this will change." Torres added: "But more than anything I want to win a trophy with Liverpool and for this to happen we have to start winning more games. "It's not just in the league either, we also have the FA Cup and the Champions League to aim for, so there are a lot of big games coming up. "But we are in a good position in all of these competitions and we have to be positive. I hope that this season will turn out to be a good one for Liverpool and for me." TORRES!! I LOVE U !!! |

QUOTE(Kernkraft400 @ Feb 2 2009, 02:09 AM) Mike Riley can literally fcuk my epic ass. He is the cause of this dismay. this is call soccer! and as u say, referees decision is always final, and tt's what makes soccer interesting,. Lampard is nowhere near alonso, and he has got the ball, Alonso jumped away from him. Worse comes to worse, that is a yellow card, unless lampard pulled off a 2 feet high tackle, then its a direct send off. Referees should be executed for dumb decisions like that. Well Chelsea had to risk the last goal, to get the last gasp of at least getting a draw. My upmost respect and salutation to Frank Lampard, No.8, for his professional conduct. He walked away without any arguments like a real man, unlike some players who would fight just to prove himself, but referees decision is always final. there r times, we do complain on referees on their poor decision made, but nth can be done and that's the beautiful/ugly side of soccer |

QUOTE(aiyish @ Feb 2 2009, 02:44 AM) They didnt think we are a threat to them. Even Rio said the title is in their hands already... They forget, we are Liverpool...and Milan learn their lesson in Istanbul anyway, let others talk crap on us and let us show them how we finish them off n works on the pitch |

i dont know it's a good thing for keane to go back or not...
maybe, rafa just wan to stick back to his 4-5-1 strategy which works last season, rather than 4-4-2 but buying him n selling him back, for me, it's a shame ..atleast use him till end of the season? |

QUOTE(corez @ Feb 4 2009, 08:31 AM) Just checked the fixtures and seems like the last game for Liverpool is vs Spurs at Anfield. can write a novel d.. Just wondering. Spurs need to draw to avoid relegation. Liverpool need to win to get the Premiership title. 89th minute penalty for Spurs. Keane is the taker (he was before he left Spurs) What will go through his mind? Pss. The answer is obvious but still imagine if he missed (not on purpose) Spurs relegated and he got a Premiership medal. |
