ok.. my turn to contribute..

according to http://www.airasia.com/site/sg/en/faqSearc...8da510-46e34b6f

We only allow each guests to carry one (1) cabin baggage on board provided it complies with our cabin baggage weight and dimensions.

Only one (1) piece of baggage is allowed to be carried on board provided that it does not exceed the dimensions of 56cm X 36cm X 23cm and provided that it does not weigh more than 7kg. Such baggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in an enclosed storage compartment in the cabin. Items determined by us to be of excessive weight or size or of an offensive nature will not be permitted on board.

@KVReninem

my ticket is booked back in july last year.. so i just have to live with "less than 20kg"

@Thalmes

my father is quite strict on the 20kg as well.. guess he is just like the officers at the airport. he said it would be very expensive to exceed the limit. well, i am just bringing clothes, 1 pair of shoes , 1 pair of throngs and some files and stationary.. would not have any big problems

hopefully the students there are not required to wear formal clothes during every classes. back here in malaysia, we are required to do so

Added on February 2, 2009, 1:35 amoh ya.. all of you dont being drinking water in hand luggage? i think there are something like liquids cannot exceed 100ml?

i am still reading through the terms and conditions

haha.. anyway i brought few hundreds gram paper over here not whole stack. i would say i am quite particular with papers. so i will need some time to find out the best deal. mostly it is for my flash cards.

it has been over a week here at perth. last week the heat is terrible. getting better this few days

oh ya. another thing though, my hand luggage actually exceed the size/ dimension a little but they didnt stop me.

and the coles around here doesnt sell hangers and i cant find the adaptor converter or those can fit in our malaysian pin. so, luckily i brought 1 along.

@Grimm
you actually brought all that. haha.

@-Jonathan-
the maths is so true. there are so much to buy when you arrived here for the very first time. just spend but of course i am not telling you to grab everything from the store. get some food, the rest just look around and hunt for best deal.

yeah.. a meal outside even cost more than 5 AUD normally. so, all of you should stop trying too hard to try to save the 5 AUD.

so, make effort to cook and use the money you saved to buy a lab coat instead of hunting for a cheap 1.
