QUOTE(caspersky @ Jan 14 2009, 09:27 PM) Providing Tax File Number is not compulsory, but if you don't provide TFN to your employer, you will be taxed at a very high rate(more than 40% if i'm not mistaken), surely you don't want this to happen. How do I obtain a Tax File Number for that reason ?Yes, even you work less than 20 hours, you will be taxed. But if you provide TFN and declare that you are a resident for tax purpose, you will get full tax refund if your income is less than $6000 in a financial year. What if I am an international student and not a resident, how much will I be taxed ? |

I arrived yesterday and have been eating sandwiches ever since, till I get my permanent room that is
Food here is really expensive if you try to convert back to RM. If you don't, then it's still ok. There's a Rasa Malaysian shop across the street from where I am staying now |

QUOTE(HyeoshinX @ Feb 27 2009, 02:25 PM) Yeah sadly we're not entitled to concession prices in Melbourne so traveling on the public transport can be pretty expensive Choose to go out on Sundays for a cheaper price |

It's becoming cold here in Melbourne and the whole of next week shows rain by the weather forecast.
I hate rain Let's hope the strong winds blow the clouds away |
