MeruChan, coming to QUT right? Doing accounting? Assuming your campus is on Gardens Point, just bring your Passport, Visa(eCOE) and offer letter, pop into A block, get your documentation, and follow the signs to Z block to get your ID card done. Made out on the spot.

Orientation is 16-20 Feb. Best to do administrative things (like enrollment) then, as there will be people helping you up. They change every year, but last year they had people walking around with "ask me" badges, whom you can go up and ask anything (well, almost).

If anyone wants to stalk me I'll be in QUT whole day tomorrow. biggrin.gif

hit me up anyone in brisbane yo!

Lectures - held in lecture halls that can sit up to a few hundred students, where usually the teacher do all the talking and you listen and absorb stuff that are being presented by the lecturers...you can always skip lectures and study on your own..dl notes from the net and stuff...at your own risk tho

Tutorials - normally held in classrooms about 20-40 a class, so here you do your homework and stuff and discuss it with the lecturers, ask question and stuff..so this is important..and it is compulsory to attend tutorials.

lol... rose garden's famous ciu yim kai pah...

Stalactites is probably the name you'll hear the most if you ask about Greek cuisine, but it's kinda pricey and personally I don't think the food is that great anyway. Then again, I'm no fan of Greek cooking as most of them are "soaked" in tons of olive oil and too spices-heavy for my liking.
You can find food for less than 10AUD in the city lah, not necessarily in dirty, lousy restaurants.

LYN booth in UniMelb hehe... need meh? sweat.gif

10 bucks food is like if you eat those non fast food type.
hungry jacks deal 4.95 whopper jnr with coke fries and a sundae! enough to make me full the whole day.

Just curious, does anyone use GPS while they're in Australia?

it's quite annoying when that woman keeps telling you where to go.
