hows the temperature there compare to M'sia?

The other thing I would like to comment is humidity. The humidity in Melbourne very low. So, I spend more time with me skin (apply lotion). In Malaysia, the weather a bit humid so you will feel like very sticky and sweat all the time.

Hey peepo i need advice!
Food tech & nutrition - RMIT  or
Food science & nutrition - UQ ?
anyone taking any of those now? enlighten me please?
and hows life in UQ and RMIT? am afraid i cant enjoy campus life/make new friends if i were to select RMIT cuz they say RMIT is just blocks of buildings. HOW? : (
but both course strs are equally good, just that UQ is more renowned cuz it's Go8 is it? : /
*
UQ I'm not familiar so I can't give you advice. If you would like to study food science or nutrition related courses, I would recommend Deakin. If you want to choose uni based on Go8, then, I recommend Melbourne University. Cost of living around Deakin areas are lower than RMIT or Melbourne University. If you want to back to Malaysia then better choose G8 because no body know Deakin except those graduated from food related courses in Australia. Why I recommend Deakin because the course offered by Deakin is more practical than other universities. Anyway, RMIT still will be out of my option.

Added on November 13, 2009, 11:40 amBTW, why you don't want study nutrition and dietetics. One stone kills 2 birds. You can try Monash because Deakin discontinued Degree course and only offer Master

Life in UQ is good and chilly. They just renovated a new cafeteria at UQ. Bigger, Nicer and Subway too. haha!
*
Subway's food in Melbourne prepared by Indians (no racist ah). I just feel food over subway suck! Not only subway and it includes Hungry Jack too!

Nasi lemak at the consular. The best nasi lemak that I have eaten in Australia (so far) but not as good as Malaysia (haha, today I also got nasi lemak as my breakie). In the city got a lot things to eat. No need to worry about it.

it is available but is another subject(equivalent to the subject tht i failed)
so tht means if i fo for summer course, then i will take diff subject(which almost same syllabus)

if i extend 1 semester does it means total years i study will be 2 years(original is 1 and a half year)?
*
Just take it, coz tuition fee will increase every year. Some more, you only take 1 subject which you can fully focus it.

What kind of scholarship did you apply.

I think you get more than enough what you need for survive. Anyway, it also depends how do you spend.

Hey guyz. How is the price of medicine(drugs) in Aus compare to M'sia? Is it cheaper because it is subsidized by the Aus government? Apart from that, is that any way that i can get control drugs in Aus through pharmacist without the prescription from a doctor? Well, wanna save cost. =) Really appreciate if any1 can give me d info.
*
Not really. It depends type of medicine. I've bought a flu medicine (caritine or carinase "spelling might wrong"), it cost 7 times more expensive in Malaysia blush.gif Somemore, they didn't want to sell this medicine to me initially and asked me to try PE (the whole name already forgotten). I told them this medicine doesn't effective but they still didn't want to sell carinase to me vmad.gif So, I had to go to other pharmacy who willing sold carinase to me.

Grats ostangel =) what course you're taking? Excited on going to Melb? =D
*
Are you sure just only Hep B for your placement? Try to confirm with your uni. My uni also requested me to do hep A and hep B and other types of blood tests.

mm, cos my immunity for hep B is 0 (you need about 10). You need blood test to check for HIV Ag, HBsAg, HCV. and you need a prove of immunity for Hep B, MMR, DPT and VZV. but they didn't state hep A. which state are you in tsm? maybe its different by states? >< not sure.
oh ^^ yay I'm excited to go tassie too. I'm going to do med there. um, clinical placements. =)
*
Me? I'm studying in Melbourne. I also not sure maybe there are differences between states or universities. Enjoy your life in Australia:-)
