Hi guys. was wondering.. is the Civic worth getting compared with the new City in terms of overall performance, feel and looks?

The extra $$ worth the upgrade?

Errr... The Civic and City are 2 different cars competing in 2 different market segments.
For the price you pay, it's obvious that you're getting something more 'upmarket'. RM90k for a City and say RM114k for a Civic FD1, that's quite a lot to go. Even more for the FD2.

At the end of the day, it's all up to your budget...and ur requirements
most important, is how deep is ur wallet.
IMHO, if I had a wee bit more cash..my first choice was the Civic.
But economic circumstances made me re-think that I'd better save up for the rainy days
and get the City which meets all my criteria at the moment (ie. no kids, and cheaper maintenance)

Noted. Based on what I've seen like on FB, ppl complain of floating at 140km/h .. so does adding the modulo spoilers and increasing tyre size help?

Coz it looks like there's quite a few complaints here and there, so dunno if they are really justified. Furthermore, by looking at this forum, I believe a potential city owner would need to pick the E spec (paddle shifting for smoother acceleration0, have wider tyres (205 for stability) and tinting (otherwise too hot on hands) as a must addon in order of mitigate some of initial complaints. So with all this top up... a bit more dough can get a Civic with possibly less problems?

Currently driving a 2002 Proton Wira 1.5L AT.

I think it would be helpful if those who faced problems mentioned earlier, such as sagging bumper, tint bubbles or what not, to post a pic of how bad it looks.

Did another test drive today in Ipoh, and yeah the aircond is loud and alarm is quite soft, but to me it seems quite tolerable. Really enjoyed the paddle shift.

The degree of loudness of the engine depends on personal taste coz I've driven the Wira, Merc, CRV and Vios quite often, and they all are loud when accelerating hard. Can't expect too much from a 1.5L eh?

I've booked another test drive tomm in Shah Alam, so will rev it up kaukau along kesas b4 making my final decision.

Interesting....booked today and you can get in March. I wonder if your SA is telling you the truth or if lots of people cancelling their orders.

Would like to post a question out there, to all current NHC E spec owners, so far... do you feel ur getting a good/decent product for the RM90k paid for it?

Btw, I'm still waiting for my loan to approve. Are the imitation module for NHC already available? I was thinking of just getting the front spoiler... IMO, it adds a bit more grunt to the already cool grill.

hmm.. then this will be bad... it sounds like we are controlled by the car instead of ourselves  sad.gif

regarding the l00k of the NHC on the road, I have the same feeling too. even my sister said why it looks so "cutie" when saw the new NHC on the road  rclxub.gif
