Altec and Edifier both give different feel. For gaming I go for Edifier and movies, music etc will take Altec. Depends on model also la.

altec lansing is the only brand i've used and trusted for PC speakers...
my ATP3 still rawks and serving me well...very satisfied... |

Altec Lansing recommended for computer speakers.
But seldom use my speakers after bought and poisoned by Sennheiser headset. |
