QUOTE(booooster @ Feb 8 2009, 02:48 PM) Haha.. nope I did not DIY I took it to my regular phone shop and ask them to change for me due to warranty issues as the phone was bought from them. This way, my 2 year warranty was not affected. If DIY, warranty will be void. The whole cover change took them about 1-2 hours.QUOTE(chicaman @ Feb 8 2009, 03:02 PM) At first I thought black was a rare colour, now there seems to be more blacks.. That was one of the reason of changing the colour to silver/white instead of changing it back to the black housing.QUOTE(-Teddy- @ Feb 8 2009, 03:02 PM) Original housing? How much do they cost? My black N82 is full of scratches now, after sliding it down on a big stone in Pangkor. Yes, this is an original housing. It cost me RM350 (with keypad, camera buttons, headset jack, charger port, microphone) I changed to this one too as my black had some issues with the ugly peeling off the so called aluminium texture at the camera bit. This post has been edited by aurion: Feb 8 2009, 03:15 PM |

QUOTE(booooster @ Feb 8 2009, 03:16 PM) I actually wanted a silver before I settled with the black. Saw the silver at the shop a day before I got it, the next day it was gone and in came a black. Had no choice but to settle for it. There again, no regrets cos it was a rare colour at that time as had the geo-tagging feature which the silver sets used not to have previously. But now both have the geo-tagging features (which I hardly use) after recent firmware updates. In short, there is virtually no difference between the black and silver. By the way is yours with the white back or titanium back? This post has been edited by aurion: Feb 8 2009, 03:25 PM |

QUOTE(booooster @ Feb 8 2009, 03:23 PM) titanium back Hmm. I'm nor really able to answer you on this, my friend. If I'm not mistaken, it has to be changed with the whole housing. I'm not sure about the Nokia Service Centres though. There again, NSCs have a really ridiculous price on most of the parts they sell. Worst scenario if you want that part, you can settle in to get one of those imitation housings and just swap in that part only.u kno the shutter part on mine, the paint is wearing off, u know if that can be changed? |
