Mind show us pictures of your new-designed N82 here?  biggrin.gif

It's not really a new design as I've only swapped the covers from the black to the original Chrome Silver and White back. Will do.. I'll try get hold of a digital camera to snap some shots of Xeros (the phone). Please give me some time allowance as I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment.

Which country code has the firmware for V31 as I've tried keying in 0566149 in Nokia's website and the latest for this country code is still V30.0.019

Better not to upgrade until the official log is out then, since there are hiccups here and there in the latest firmware.

if good then we will say it is good, bad then we will say it is bad.

Well firmware update doesnt mean better. This is what I know, when I upgraded from V20 to V30 I already know the pros and cons before I update. But I still insist on updating it because I know what is best for me wink.gif

I agree with you from your point of view, new firmware releases may not necessarily be good or vice-versa. It may correct a bug from the previous firmware release but a new bug may appear in the new firmware release. It really depends on what you need in the end of the day. smile.gif

Btw, how do you all backup sms ?? Once you restore your sms-es , the name will be gone !! It will just appear as number instead of your fren's name
*
I've used PC Suite to backup contacts and messages at the same time and restored them, they have the names appearing in the inbox.

Today My N82 cannot get into the Contact list via the icon.  I can click on other icons and go to the application.  Only cannot access to the Contact list.
How to solve this type of problem?
*
Try restarting the phone. If it fails, do a soft reset.

can we download the update file separately ? duh on the way to 65 MB then suddenly interrupted

good job nokia dry.gif

It does happen at times.. But from my understanding, it resumes from where it stopped.. I once downloaded up to 120MB and it got interrupted. When I restarted NSU, it resumed from 120MB.

Hi, I have upgraded my N82 firmware to the latest V31 version. Every thing is fine, except for one thing:

Before upgrade, my memory card mp3 songs have chinese names, now all the chinese characters becomes square boxes, how come?
How can I view back chinese character plsssssssssssssssssss help.
*
Probably it's the region code you are in, which doesn't support chinese characters.
