Totally agree with you. That's why I started to pump in money to stocks since Dec. In Feb, I intend to double the amount. Currently, I've put in 10% of my total investment each month. If Feb starts 20% (so far only 10%), I shall finished my shopping in May. Then I'll go for long hibernation (1-2yrs)
QUOTE(jasontoh @ Feb 5 2009, 08:27 PM) Still dumping rubbish shares? Don't you think it's a bit too late for that? KLSE lost about almost half the value....so rubbish shares should be either the same or more Added on February 5, 2009, 8:32 pm What I see is that some counters (div counters) never move or just drop a bit. If you compare individual counters vs KLSE, then you'll see a lot of div counter drop a lot less than KLSE in terms of %. Another thing is, we know now is bear market....but what if it recovers? You never know whether we hit the bottom or not. If we opt for wait until more stable, by then usually it already goes up about 20-30%. Just my opinion though. |

I somehow think that the bottom of the market is last Nov. For the past few mths, market doesn't move much... I've no data to prove it, just my gut feeling.

RM2 mil is not enough to retired at 35. You'll need around RM4 mil. Must take note on the inflations. Of course, if you're single until old and spend wisely, maybe RM2mil can last lar!

You RM2mil can only generate 7-10% income if you invest (stocks , properties etc). You maybe able to quit your work, but you can't close 2 eyes and sleep all day long!
Neo was saying he won't be around (I guess is in stock market) anymore, then he can't retire with RM2mil unless he switch all this cash to properties and ask agents to collect rental on his behalf. Then, he can travel around the world for the rest of his life! QUOTE(jasontoh @ Feb 6 2009, 02:16 PM) |

If you've reach your goal, this is the type of pace you want. The question is: "why take risk when you already achieve your goal?"
As for me, I'm still too far from this... Hey hey!! We're really OT!!! Time to took at stock market now! QUOTE(jasontoh @ Feb 6 2009, 02:35 PM) |

LCL had been operating in this mode for quite some time already (few years)... The debtor on average paid after 1yr++. This was what I wrote few weeks ago when LCL started to fall from 0.60.
My understanding is the company may have problem collecting debt in current situation, and not trade receivable suddenly shoot up. QUOTE(cherroy @ Feb 6 2009, 08:03 PM) Wow, the trade receivable is more than 300+ millions while whole year sales/revenue is 200+ millions. I don't know details about the company or company situation, but based on this 2 figure, it somehow like making a business whole year without collecting payment from customers. If those receivable being defaulted, it can bring down the company. |

On the bright side, market will rally faster and drop back after few years (when the same problem surface again). Good right? No need to wait for 10 yrs for the cycle to come!
