pls read up more about this system... it's not ideal for most ortho cases as it can only do tipping movements for your teeth....

Erm. Hard to explain. Majority of the cases require bodily movement. Tipping can only help mild non extraction cases.

Review of Invisalign Braces in Malaysia.

Yes, Invisalign braces is available in Malaysia. You can find all the providers on the

Invisalign website
http://invisalign.com.my/en/Pages/Home.html

or directly through this website:
http://invisalign.com.my/en/Find-Invisalig...ages/Search.php

I personally got my Invisalign braces done at Beverly Wilshire Dental Specialist Centre @ Telawi, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They've just changed their name to Imperial Dental Specialist Centre.
It costs RM16,000. (NOT including the cost of the initial Xray, Mould, Delivery fee to the USA and retainers) It does include the cost of refinement, but again the cost of taking the second Mould and delivery is not included.

The service I received was horrendous and thoroughly disappointing.
The reason why I chose Beverly Wilshire Dental Specialist Centre @ Telawi, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is because they are the supposed "Platinum Provider" for Invisalign in Malaysia, which means that they are the largest provider of Invisalign in Malaysia. Because they are a "Platinum Provider", the cost of getting the Invisalign here is higher than the average provider. With that extra cost, I expected expertise, good service and professionalism.

But instead, what I have received is :

1. Having to chase for a refund & appalling service quality
Do not be fooled by the posh appearance of the dental clinic. The admin girls at the counter are unreliable. I made to overpay RM1000 because they had a poor record of my payments. I had to collate all my receipts and prove to them that I had been overcharged. Even then, I received no apology and instead, I had to chase them several times to process the refund! And I had to do all this whilst I was based overseas.

2. Delay in provision of my refinement
At the end of my treatment, I found that my teeth were not perfectly alligned. And since, I was told that refinement was included in the package, I requested it from my dentist. Pre-treatment, my dentist pointed out all the minute flaws of the allignment of my teeth, which made me more aware of them. When I went to him, requesting for the refinement treatment, he made me feel like I was unjustly dissatisfied with my treatment, and that my teeth were already perfect (I asked many lay-people and they could spot the flaws in my teeth allignment). So I wonder... "Why the change in opinion, doc? Pre-treatment, you were a perfectionist, and now when I'm requesting a refinement, you've changed your personality and opinions?!" I expect consistency and honesty in good service.

After a debate with him, he finally agreed to carry out my refinement treatment. He said that it would be ready in 2 to 3 weeks time, like before. After 5 weeks, I return from overseas and I am told that it will only be ready in 2 weeks time. So that amounts to 7 weeks of waiting time. I've yet to receive an explanation as to why there was a delay.

3. Inaccurate/Inadequate Information giving
I was told nothing of the attachments which would be installed onto my teeth for the Invisalign treatment. I was under the impression that the treatment only involved the removable clear braces which was to be changed every so often. My dentist only mentioned all the "PROS" of the treatment and now that I've come to the end of my pre-refinement treatment, I feel that I was sold a product by a salesman. With that said, the attachments are NOT extremely obvious, however, I would appreciate if I am given accurate and adequate information before paying RM16,000. I was also under the impression that there was no additional cost for refinement as that was what my dentist so enthusiastically informed me when I came in for the first appointment. However, again, I was under-informed as there are additional costs - Mould and delivery fee to the USA.

4. An extremely condescending dentist
He makes you feel like an idiot for asking questions. He uses medical terms and jargon when explaining the treatment. He does NOT listen to your ideas, concerns and expectations. When my alligners did not fit well, he quickly jumped to put the blame on me that I've been moving on to the next alligner too quickly. I argued that the attachments on my teeth were not installed properly and that was causing gaps between my alligners and my teeth. Only then, he investigated it and found that my attachment was indeed too small. Lo and behold, after he reinstalled my attachment, the alligners fit so much better!

My advice? DO NOT go to Beverly Wilshire. They are money-making business and "Your smile is NOT their upmost concern".

Extremely dissatisfied customer.

Wow shit... If I am paying 16k for dental service, I expecting to be treated (almost) like a king, not to be condescending treated when asking questions.

hmmm.. It seems that you are one unhappy client. I came across your post when i was searching for invisalign treatment in MALAYSIA. I went to Beverly Wilshire bangsar to get my invisalign fixed too. Just started currently on my 3rd aligner! i would say the front desk is so-so but the Dr i met was very good. He explained to me very nicely about my treatment plan, there were some medical jargon involved but when I asked he gave me very satisfactory answers and i understood him well.

Well, i was told about the rm16 k excluding other charges but if you think about it when you add up all the charges its still cheaper than other dental clinics whistling.gif i did my survey, on average other clinic charges rm25k to get an orthodontist to do invisalign for you. Maybe if you get a general dentist it would be cheaper but still im quite particular about quality assurance. I was told that they would have a refinement set for free as well but its excluding the impression that they take to send to usa again.

Attachements have mostly on my back teeth and 4 in front. I noticed the red dots on the tooth(supposingly atachments)during the clinicheck video and asked. Apparently you can get them fixed behind the tooth which i asked for. You should have too! i think sometimes they forget to explain it all so you have to be more observant, after all rm16k is alot of cash babe!

anyway, my experience was quite a pleasant one tho. Am going back soon for more aligners. wub.gif

Shouldn't you received all the aligners altogether in their special box; not one by one?

Ya. I think there is two boxes but still I have to go back for review. Plus I'm paying via installment so I take less aligners each time to spread out the cost.

Hmmm, looks like some people are unhappy with their invisalign treatment. I did my invisalign aligners at White Smile Berjaya Times Square. I surveyed "famous" ones including the one mentioned here. I was very happy and confident with the invisalign @ whitesmile, and I am now on aligner #38, going for refinement. Actually no need, i think it looks pretty good, but already paid so would be nice to get a perfect result!!!! The Dr didn't give me all the aligners at one shot, each time he looked at my case carefully and he counted the attachments and compared with the computer. I am very happy with his attitude and he doesn't have "money mind" like others in KL....
