oh hello hello
so i went to the chiropractor in klang, the first visit is rm130 and the subsequent visit is rm100 i guess they charge depending on the severity of your case. i got diagnosed with scolisis T_T so during the first visit the doc already pressed on my muscles and cracked too many bones (so bloody pain! i cried ok!), and then they put me on this massage machine and then stuck electrodes on to my back. after that the nurse taught me basic daily exercises i have to do, even teaching me a special method of getting up from my bed anyway it was rm130 for 2 hours first visit. * they also have this package to help you save money : rm1k - 12 visits rm2k - 26 visits rm3k - 40 visits rm4k - 56 visits but i'm on the fence about it, so i'll go do some research before i commit first p/s the doc is from usa This post has been edited by map: Feb 7 2009, 06:11 PM |

QUOTE(morph @ Feb 8 2009, 10:34 PM) www.backinmotion.com.my THANKS!Dr Barry Kluner is a very nice doctor whom i've visited. 1st consultation is free if you print out the voucher from the website above. It's in Sunway btw but his consultation hours are not feasible for me (working in klang, 6 days a week) i guess i'll stick to the one in klang, he has pretty odd hours too, but at least twice a week he opens till 9pm |

QUOTE(fraulein @ May 3 2009, 11:48 AM) depends on what problems u have and how severe it is. initially i had to go three times a week, then two times a week, and now i only go when i feel pain QUOTE(chocoholic221 @ May 3 2009, 01:14 PM) does anybody know of a female chiropractor in pj/cheras area? the chiropractor is for u? my chiro is a male, and he's very professional. sometimes male strength is needed especially when u have rigid bones that won't go back into place i need to see one and my dad is quite worried bout the amount of touch involved |

QUOTE(fraulein @ May 3 2009, 06:13 PM) Ooo, so total you must have spent nearly 1K? yup spend alot of $$$ Actually my problem is backache when I was sleeping till I woke up.. but maybe it's my mattress. Maybe should shop for a new mattress first before going to the chiropractor. Wonders if can claim company insurance for that or not.. what's ur sleeping position? if u sleep on ur back, then best to put a small pillow under the small of your back (your lower spine area). if you sleep on you side, then put a pillow or bolster between your legs. i agree though, unless u're in a whole lot of pain, then don't bother with a chiro la |

Tatsumaki, thanks.
I went to see my family MD with my xrays and funny enough he says that the chiropractors can't do anything about scoliosis except go for surgery and shave off a bone to release the pressure/pain. To his credit, my chiro also says that the most effective way to treat scoliosis (for a person my age) is to shove a metal rod up my spine. Like what you said, he also warned me that if I kept applying pressure to my spine, it'll only get worse. -,- I agree, scoliosis is serious business. |

QUOTE(Tatsumaki @ May 11 2009, 10:43 PM) Oh hey, thanks for responding. So there is indeed treatment albeit it sounds really painful. I'm picturing bracers but for the bones. I guess this is a case of suffer now (short while) rather than suffer long term 30-40 years later ya? yes there is a brace you can wrap around your body, but it costs rm12k so the chiro only recommends it for ppl with over 30degrees oh well. every cloud has a silver lining. scoliosis patients are medically discouraged from doing push ups and sit ups now, or carry heavy objects. ohohohohoho |
