Currently, chiropractic is not regulated by law in malaysia, unlike how established it is in the US, Canada, Australia, etc. Hence, there is a proliferation of people out there claiming to be chiropractors without actually having the proper credentials.
Other than that, much like other complementary medicine, its grouped under Complementary Medicine under Malaysian law, if i'm not mistaken.

QUOTE(yinsw @ Apr 10 2012, 02:34 PM) I have lower back pain whenever I sweep or mop the floor after a few minutes. I also can't carry load on my shoulder (e.g. backpack, heavy groceries, etc) for a longer period of time. Do you think I should go for a chiroprator to seek treatment? It has been bothering me for a couple of years. Yep, you should. Don't be discouraged that you don't get well in just one treatment. Follow-up with your treatment and really see if there's improvement or not. If not, consult your chiropractor for further advice.

QUOTE(renne_smile @ Aug 1 2012, 02:55 PM) hi all, i went to a chiropractic yday & did an x-ray, apparently im diagnosed with reverse cervical lordosis, accompanied with cervical posture alterations. my diagnosis was severe according to the doc and the recommended treatment is costing a bomb!! hence, I really need a 2nd opinion since the pain is affecting me & treatment cost so much! Anyone knows a reputable, highly experience chiro? It really shouldn't cost a bomb. Unless he's trying to fleece you... Anyway, google up HSC Specialist Clinic. Or you can even try out IMU Chiropractic Clinic. For IMU, the most of the chiropractors there are lecturers themselves.

QUOTE(navilink @ Aug 14 2012, 01:41 PM) are there any chiropractor around klang area? and comparing modern and chinese traditional.. which one will be better? i think traditional one they will use inner strength of their hands to push ur back bones to its place >_< There are many chiropractor out there in the klang valley, but you just need to able to differentiate the real ones from the quack ones. And as for TCM, you really can't be gullible enough to believe that they can use some kinda inner energy to "push" back your bones, right?

QUOTE(eelynsoon @ Sep 18 2012, 06:55 PM) anyone here tried out IMU chiro dr tinsley? a lecturer in IMU..... Dr Tinsley is a sports chiropractor. Meaning, he doesn't only see general chiropractic-related problems, but also injuries specific to sports (eg. tennis/golfer's elbow, concussion due to trauma, etc.) QUOTE(phillipsong @ Sep 23 2012, 12:36 PM) IMU Dr Tinsley should be charging the same price as the clinic at IMU bukit Jalil, RM80 for consultation and RM120 for consultation and treatment..=) Yeah, as what philipsong said. To add on to his point, every modality costs an extra RM25.
