I called myself 'victim' and not victim, basically it depends on how they advise you.
The thing is, even without actually getting injured, many (especially urban) people have back pain one way or another, due to lifestyle.

Getting enough exercise, good posture and getting a 'crack' once a while from the chiro is good. But many of these centres wants your $$$, they'll tell you all the packages that you may not really need, tie you down long term.

BTW, do remember to used up all your treatment in 12 months, if not they'll forfeit it. Just treat your physiotherapy sessions as personal training session. If you got a pretty/handsome therapist, then considered it a BONUS  thumbup.gif

sorry for resurrecting your own post. I went to a chiro and the doctor said i need 36 session to adjust my neck. Based on the X-Ray, my neck is bending forward which mean they need to adjust it backward to gain the 'C-shape'. But the question is, does it really need up to 36 sessions? It is something like 3 times a week.

wow. 3 times a week seems a lot! have you seek second opinion? my chiro back in nz had also requested me to have adjustment like 3 times a week at the beginning for my backache but subsequently reduced to once a week.

adjustment in malaysia is very expensive compare to nz (without the currency exchange) and the people there usually get adjustment many times a week.

did the chiro offer you a package for the 36 treatments?

the plan was

first 2 month: 3 times a week = 24 times
3rd month: 2 times a week = 8 times
4th month once a week = 4 times

total 36

Asking me to sign a package of 40 times for RM3,400

i am looking for second opinion, maybe discover chiropractic at SS2

wow. looks like ur neck condition is pretty serious. when i did the calculation for one session from the package price, it's quite reasonable. how much does this chiro charge for single session in the first place? i have seen nowadays many chiro are charging a lot for one session.

1 session is rm100, taking package is cheaper. The chiro said it is consider serious. But honestly I don't feel anything now, not painful nothing. Just stiffness sometime

very cheap since i have seen some single session = rm180. may i know where is this chiro? if it's serious, then i'd suggest you to get the second opinion soon. i believe you would see improvement to your neck after the adjustment.

good luck.

Bro, if you want my opinion, all chiros in Malaysia will ask you to take up "packages". That way, you are committed to them long term, it makes business sense to them.

Chiropractors are very common in other countries, here.... they seem to be premium service, so they CHARGE like mad. Many companies also hire Foreigners so they get to charge more. But overall, prices are coming down.

Now, if you ask me, (don't get offended bro) many people are not getting enough exercise and we are constantly slouching looking at smartphones. I'm too, but now I try to be aware of it, and constantly stretches.

I have spent alot, I can only advise those who want cheaper and effective treatment. What I am doing is called pain management.... biggrin.gif

Thanks bro. Honestly for now, I don't feel any pain on my neck. It is just sometime I feel stiffness after long day of work. Didn't expect the X-Ray interpretation turn out to the that bad.

Am thinking to bring my X ray to normal GP and see what they talk from other perspective than Chiro
