I want to reformat my PC but I lost the ori XP CD... Can I just buy the ahemahem version at pc shops and then insert my original product key? Will it says that my XP got prob after finish installing? any other alternatives that you recomend?

sure you can. as long as the window inside is running a valid product key, then its considered as original.

no issue, u can also find ur key, your current xp installed's key. try google jellybean keyfinder.

Make sure you get the correct XP version (Home/Pro). And if possible, try not to get nlited or modified installation CD that may not even ask you to enter your product key during installation.

TS, you should be able to re-install XP from another installer source as long as your using the same legitimate/correct serial number, not sure about activation process though.
