hi, just want to report my thoughts about armourone skin after 6 months of using it.

i've installed the skin on my macbook air 2011, and it's been really solid so far, including the lid and bottom plate skin peeled off twice and stick it back (yes, it can be reused!). hasn't fail yet and has been sticking on rock solid. there's a slight coming-off at the left edge near the keyboard, and is picking up dusts (about 0.5mm width and few cm in length), but still going strong and has been remained that way for few months.

i can also clarify that it won't leave the any hint of residue on the surface (or it's so slight that i couldn't detect it). though, macbook air has metal surface so i'm not sure how it'll do on plastic surface, but i think it'll do just as good.

few problem though, putting the same material on the trackpad will reduce the sensitivity and some people will not like it. it works OK for me and it register my input 90% of the time for tap to click. however, it doesn't have a single problem registering multi finger gesture, and moving the cursor around has not been affected, unless your fingertip is wet and the plastic surface will create some drag.

also since its adhesive is not liquid based, it works just like stickers thus can pickup dusts pretty easily. i have a few black spots on mine but then i wasn't bothered with it a single bit. but that's the wonder of non-liquid adhesive like many other protecting films, is that you don't need to worry about liquid damage.

the cut isn't perfect as well and will not 100% cover the surface (so do famous brands but still perhaps better cut than armourone, not that armourone is awfully off either). also be careful when you apply it, go easy with it and don't pull the film as it can get stretched and end up oversize at certain area especially those with thin strips (i cut out the excessive bits so it left a trace there). this is not invinsible shield or ghost armor, the material isn't as strong. to me i just need basic scratch protect so it serve the purpose well.

i also have the AG screen protector, and it definitely reduce the sharpness just very slightly and a little on the brightness as well, perhaps not the best protector, but for the price of all in one i purchased, i don't have a single complain and it works just wonderful as screen protector.

lastly, i have the keyboard protector on my keyboard as well, the TPU version. after using it for 6 months, i don't feel the need to clean the protector at all, and all the keys remain visible, only some slight clouding going on but i actually expected it to get MUCH worse.


all in all, very good product at unbeatable price. i actually bought another set of skin and AG screen protector as spare in case the skin get damaged or become dirty, but so far it's been sitting in the closet and i don't need any need anytime soon.
