QUOTE(Veron83 @ Jan 11 2009, 02:17 PM) surf with wifi is free of charge but not every place u can connect cos protect by WEP(password)... my december maxis bill (data charges) was Rm50 bucks!!! used 5MB all together. network data connection mean u use 3G internet or edge to connect to internet and it will cost on your bill...the charges(refer to ur provider ex: maxis) will be base on how many kb u have use while u on the internet.. example my maxis postpaid: 1437kb = RM14.05 a little strange because i used wifi most of the time, i thought wifi connection is FOC? no? |

QUOTE(suyee @ Jan 11 2009, 03:42 PM) It possible when you turn on GPS, the auto setting go online is always use your telco wap first instead of wifi. the thing is, i didnt connect it for GPS. purely wifi for surfing and msn.Added on January 11, 2009, 3:43 pm you the main poison. poison all of us in to tuber. i remember last time my data was charged when i surf using iPhone. there's one trick provided by the iPhone members, they said, asuming you're using Maxis, the access point - unet, just changed it to something different, eg. 1unet. so we wouldn't be charge. QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Jan 11 2009, 03:42 PM) I think you might want to delete the Maxis destination point for internet access. Mine is DiGi and I deleted the diginet's, else eventhough you choose WiFi in the first place, if no connection, it will jump to use other destination point. I kena few RM because of this. QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Jan 11 2009, 03:55 PM) Settings -> Connectivity -> Destinations -> Internet aww i need it for MMS purposes Inside you should see other access points beside Wifi's if you previously set any. DiGi uses Diginet, Celcom and Maxis, not sure the name. Just delete it off if you think you will have no use for it. |

QUOTE(ridzyroo @ Jan 11 2009, 03:56 PM) but...i used wifi...can wert...coz they will ask you which access point to use...i always choose my home wifi... QUOTE(feimeng @ Jan 11 2009, 04:00 PM) i'm not recommend to detele it because it helps a lot in fast positioning of GPS, and summore just need a few cents each time. yah, that's what i set, too, "Always Ask"1 suggestion for u all to set ur connection as Always Ask instead of automatic still, i am surprised i kena charged for 5MB data usage by maxis |

QUOTE(vicgray @ Jan 11 2009, 10:41 PM) I AM a working adult, but then my family still comments on my expenditure. Well, I don't usually get expensive stuff or shop. But once I found a gadget that I really like, I would buy. gulp. 5 years....and ended up in a toilet bowl, lol!Man, this is my second phone only! The first one was Motorola C380 which I spent RM380 on it and used for 5 years even after it fell into the toilet bowl! |

QUOTE(hestia @ Jan 11 2009, 11:09 PM) Exactly, have to get something that would make us happy once in a while. lol your mumi is cute When i got my tube, first thing i did was show it off to my mum. i showed her my new phone through webcam... she was like "aiyah! buy a new phone again? how much is that???" usual mummy verbal spanking. then i showed my homescreen to her (she's one of the contacts) and she said, "nice, when will you give it to me?" QUOTE(hellwaker @ Jan 11 2009, 11:11 PM) need some help here!!! the icon is located under Applications, with the title Avatar SMS.1) I just installed Avator SMS but I can locate the Icon to launch the apps.
