I am hoping that if I change to fatter tyres like Big apple or Maxxis DTH, the ride quality would be more comfortable...

Wow!  thanks for the mirror tip.   I would like to do that too.  !!   smile.gif
I normally go a bit fast and when approaching a roundabout, where I want to go 12 o'clock, I almost got hit by a fast car going 9 o'clock... so definitely a mirror will help..

cheers...

i ride a kapchai everyday for over 20years now, and have always used both side mirrors,
but to be safe, u still need to turn your head, to be 100% sure of any vehicle coming near you.
tht small mirror helps tho.
turning the head to check is much faster than trying to make out what is in that tiny mirror.

saw some dude sitting on this thing @ bangsar...

folding electric bike - yikebike

so this thing need lesen frm JPJ ar ....? laugh.gif

I doubt it is caused by outside object.. twice in two days and i find nothing from outside.. I suspect is factory defect where the tire's wire came off and cut the inner tube.. a very little 1 is more than enough to cause puncture as when the first time puncture, the hole on the tube is hell small.. so small that we couldnt detect where the hole until we felt it.. Will take it back to the seller and let him check since I have yet ride for more than 5 times in total..  there should be a replacement for me.. just hope they will replace 1 for me  sad.gif
normal road.. not dare to ride it to off road.. I couldnt find anything that possible to cause puncture from outside.. not even a cut on the tire.. so i suspect should be from inner.. the tire's wire perhaps.. that's why now try to look for good tire with puncture resistant..
*
y i asked, cos this is what happened to me.....

few days after i got my bike, the tyre was flat..
so i remove the inner tube, tube had a patch doh.gif
who patched it?? i duno... laugh.gif i got the bike frm rodalink...

then i run my fingers across the rim surface an inside of tyre which are in
contact with the inner tube, many times, could not detect anything sharp
or poking out that can cause the puncture...

then i discovered this...

user posted image

inside the hollow space of the rim, were many tiny metal shavings...
i shake shake,,, it fell out from the valve hole...
i suspect during manufacturing when they drill the holes for spoke,
these are the debris from the process, and they never clean it properly,
i have to use vacuum to suck it out,, and after more than 1 year,
still can suck out more... doh.gif

user posted image

oso the inner tube, even tho it is schwalbe, the thickness is half of the ones
sold separately...

The schwalbe tubes are advertised as lightweight high performance tubes.  Could that be the reason the rubber is  thinner?
*
both the tubes in the picture are 'swabe' both have the same model number..
left is oem comes with the bike..
right is one i bought separate frm bike shop.. biggrin.gif

called all the rodalink outlets.. they din carry Marathon Plus HS 348 and only carry Marathon Racer, Marathon Supreme, Durano and Kojak only.. The Marathon Plus is my choice as the durability and protection are so damn good.. it can run 10k miles without flat.. it costs about USD52.55 each ... so im expecting it cost more than RM150 each in Malaysia.. but too bad.. no one is carrying this model.. seem like i need to source it by other channel..
*
bro u need to do some calculation first i think....

how frequent u wana ride the bike?
what is the probability of getting puncture with the kinda ride that u do...?

sometimes.. ppl ride every weekend for years get 1 or 2 or never puncture...

so if u spend RM3XX for the tayar.... worth or not..... biggrin.gif

actually the 'cut out' was not meant to cradle or support the 'organ' biggrin.gif

it is to remove the section of the saddle so that it will reduce the
pressure on the perineum and not pressing hard on the nerves n artery
leading to the penis.

user posted image

a cyclist should wear a proper padded cycling short to support the organ,
and not hanging there loosely biggrin.gif tongue.gif
like this diagram below...
this will only happen when u sit with no pants on... biggrin.gif

if one sits too long... the butt will feel numb eventually....
i think no super saddle will cure that...
most important is to get a correct fit...
stand n cycle or coast for a few minutes after 15mins of sitting... biggrin.gif

Maybe by that time it'll b available over here. My saddle is still fine.. Even the gel still supports my perenium very well. Ur saddle for RM100 is a steal!!
*
i'm talking about the moonsaddle bro... biggrin.gif

i dun think it will be available here, cos it is very 'unknown' saddle..
i got it direct from AUS...

No way bro.... biggrin.gif
Unless u just started to ride the bicycle yesterday...

Even so it is unlikely, cos when u ride abike ur hands n feet r supported...
U r not riding with ur hands n feet all up in the air...
N the butt is not sitting on the edge...hard to explain here...

Singapore now has a small but growing Tern foldie following...
*
couldnt tell if it is small, that is just one group...

my dislike of tern is the curve frame design...
and fixed handle bar height..
cos i can't raise the saddle too high - short in-seam,
and the price... everything is more expensive now...
