taobao don't ship direct to KL. problematic and require some middleman which will charge a fee.

manufacturer sometimes makes region specific bikes or name them differently for a particular country and don't put it on their site as it is not sold internationally.

gin huat is the distributor for KHS i believe. just not sure if they bring in the KHS folding bikes.

bought frm taobao tru lyn many times, some deals r worth it, depends on the stuff tht u buy.

any middleman to recommend? did have something in mind to get but realized not cheap after asking around the last time.

what charges am i to expect on top of the prices on taobao.

for me i won't buy expensive or branded stuff.
branded might be fake, expensive stuff if something wrong very susah.
so it is like gambling.

it's available on ebay too the item i was looking for but shipping on ebay is even worst especially when they are in the US or euro regions.

i agree with you that it is a 50/50 thing. but taobao does have a lot of funky items for sale.

just wanted to buy some of those cycling computer mounts... now i can't find it as i was browsing some sellers shop...and can't remember what they call it in mandarin...

there are some other stuff as well which looks cheap but not sure if worth trying.
