After call to Maxis Center found that they barred my line is due to there are RM3 outstanding payment never pay for last month rclxub.gif Call to the service center & scold them then they said this is the system automatic barred. I use Maxis 6 years never seen this type of stupid issue happened before.

I told them my deposit is RM250 & max limit is RM550 but they still if you have outstanding payment never paid (EVEN RM1) they will barred your line. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE NOW. BECOZ OF THE ECONOMY CRISIS MAXIS DO LIKE THAT???????

Well, blame yourself for not clearing the outstanding resulting your line get barred.

The barring is triggered by the system and not by the consultants. Hence you are just being silly to screw the system that won't bother who you are.

This applies to all telco as well. Once your outstanding has due, your line will be barred.

How about the payment m/c never accept RM1? Did we need to pay extra to Maxis. I don't think the system was implemented long time ago. This is the 1st time my line being barred. Every month i also left out less then RM10 outstanding payment.

It depends on the telco's system. For Digi, usually they won't bar your line right on the dot when your payment is already due. They'll give you a few days more before the system auto bar you.

So you wanna pay or get barred? Still you pay right? Just live with it, it won't make any difference no matter how hard you whine here smile.gif

Hence there's no need to make a big fuss out of this issue. Did you know that due to you-wanna-screw-the-system, you've most probably ruined one of consultant's day or perhaps putting their job at risk. smile.gif

It's not even the Telco's fault. It's your own fault for unable to settle the small amount resulting your line getting barred by the system. You'll get the same even if you port in to Digi or other telco. For digi, if you afraid that your line get barred, just sign up for autobilling. You get to enjoy RM5 rebate and your line won't get barred due to your payment already due.

Dude, I feel your pain. I recently switched to postpaid from prepaid and just 2 days ago my line got barred for the 2nd time in 2 months. First time I went to their center, and they said SIM card prob. I changed sim card and it was ok after 2 hours. Then 2 days ago I suddenly got barred again! Can't be outstanding also, I just paid 2 weeks ago and both my sis lines are still usable (family plan). I just lost all hope in Maxis, haish.

i dont think it apply for all telco. tm home have deposit rm75. as long the outstanding payment below rm75 no need worry. after that tm send nice red letter first.

same like utility tnb, water - as long outstanding payment below deposit no problem.

Well but every telco has its T&C. The problem is nobody would like to fully read the T&C when it comes to signing up an agreement etc.

This is truly system issue and system definitely autobar once it detect there is an overdue amount. But I am sure if the amount is RM3 like what you said, they will truly consider to unbar your line.

You can't expect the staff to check on million of a/c everyday to manually bar a line. Please be considerate and be fair even though i know Maxis at times really disappointing. I too have some issue with them but it is very important to check before complaining. Their hotline is working 24/7. Just give them a call. smile.gif

system is also programmed by human, end up it's still in a way maxis policy been so critical to customer not clearing even rm3.

I was barred before for amount less than 5 sen from celcom, thanks to them didn't implement the rounding properly. I paid proper amount, but end up the system pick up i didn't pay full amount.

i believe telco should give a leeway of like rm10 balance should not trigger the barring, coz some people pay with cash deposit, which don't accept anything less than rm10, for example, your bill is rm10.05, will you pay rm10 or rm20? if they allow customer to pay that way, they should make it more flexible instead of penalising customer.

i always pay my bill extra few ringgit..

for example, my bill this month rm131, but last month i paid extra rm7, so total due this month become rm124 only..

so i simply paid rm130, and the remaining balance will be deducted on the next bill again..

i usually do that so i dont have to provide exact money or wait for them to return the changes. wasting time. plus, if i have extra money, why not i pay little bit extra, at least i can pay less in the future.

im not pay more only to their dealer, but also if use online banking, credit card, etc.. what to do, i used to it haha.

i still remember, couple of years ago, i made bill payment rm500 eventhough my actually bill is less than rm100 lol.. then, i can use without paying any bill for 3 month..

well, why dont u clear the bill in correct amount or pay more ?
the extra will bring on to next month , right ?
this is because of system not maxis fault
is not the matter of how much money u outstanding
is u are already outstading

why need to switch to other telco?
I bet all other telcos have the same policy regarding unclear amount of bills.

i think its because of credit limit..

condition to be barred:

1. not pay outstanding bill for certain period (3 month in my experience with celcom postpaid)
OR
2. total outstanding amount is exceeding credit limit

you'll be barred whichever come first..

ya.. it is the matter of credit limit
if credit limit is rm150
1st month is rm90
2nd is rm50
they still wont barr your line

I never get bar from Maxis though my oustanding is more than RM300. They will send me a reminder stated that my 2 months outstanding is seriously due, ask me to settle it.
