in my opinion,for gaming, i prefer vista still. coz 1 reason: directX10. ntg much. if u only play new games, of coz use 64 bits, it does loads faster in real life application.but most consumer motherboard only limit u to 8gb-16gb ram nowadays.even 4gb ram sticks i cant find yet.so if X58 chipset core i7,max ram tht can be bought NOW shud be 2gb(per stick) X 6 sticks( 6 memory slots)=12 gb.32 bits OS max limit 3.5gb, 64bits OS can fit till terabytes of memory in theory.
