Did you really share with other users? Or did you login in few locations at one time? Like at work and home? This will also not allowed.

Try emailing to rapidshare to appeal. support@rapidshare.com

All ips that have good connection speed to browsing should work fine. So, if your IP of 124.x.x.x works fine, chances are it will work fine with rapidshare. There is the art of choosing the right rapidshare server. But for noobs, I say don't bother.

Just set it to auto and use download managers. Download like 3 files at one time. Chances are you will get 1 at most that connected to a slow speed server in rapidshare. But the other 2 will be connected to fast server which will still maximize your speed. You end up still downloading at max.

With 2.66gb daily quota now, there are no point of maximizing your connection for each file. Just let it download. Patience is a virtue. Eventually it will finish.

What's the difference being able to watch your pr0n install linux distro 1-2 hour earlier.

Downloading on 60.X IP doesn't work fo me anymore. Can someone suggest a new server setting during this Streamyx connection problem since it will last more than 5 days.

For you who don't know that is going on, read here http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/983852

when you use download manager, set the download to only 1 connection per download. If you use like 5 connections for 1 download, the calculation will be higher like what you are getting.

I just tested this few weeks ago and true as it is. Setting to 1 connection per download will get more accurate download quota. You can always set to download 3 files at once with 1 connection each. This will not affect the quota calculation and will make sure your bandwidth is use max.

lol...then TM will reveal that 90% of RapidShare users are downloading warez and we are lucky that they just throttle the speed and not block the site entirely  laugh.gif

Added on April 7, 2009, 2:22 pmIf there is someone here that is using RapidShare for business only and has NEVER downloaded warez, maybe TM would make an exception after 3 months of internet monitoring  nod.gif

If you guys want to download warez don't complain if you get slow speed...just use a VPN or a socks5 proxy!!! It's only +-RM15/month these days  doh.gif

I don't think there is anyone here in this thread that only uses RapidShare to download 100% legitimate files   laugh.gif  If there is, speak up  icon_rolleyes.gif

Just let the reseller do their part. They are just trying to make sure their business is not affected by this capping. Let them try. If succeed, then good for us. If not, at least they tried. No harm there. No need to pour cold water just because you are not buying from them.

BTW, excuse me but I use my rapidshare account to download legal stuffs. You admit you download illegal stuffs, that's your problem. You already feel guilty, that's why you already admit losing to tmnet's capping. I am using rapidshare and torrent to download stuffs like linux iso and sharewares. smile.gif

i think all users should call tmnet to complain. It will only work if everyone do their part and complain.

Last night, I tried calling them, bloody hell, at around twelve am, the computer says all the engineers are currently engaged. I waited like 10 minutes before hanging up. I tried calling for 3 times and same. Wait 10 min also. Bloody hell..can nothing more be done with this sort of lousy service?
