Yup. It's a Screamyx problem. Someone claims that they are doing an upgrade which is causing these terrible speeds.

I hope they get it resolved soon. My RS account time is being wasted

Well if you call up shitmyx there's an announcement about package maintenance for several areas in Sarawak - Kuching, Miri & Bintulu. Then there's also KK. According to the annoying lady on the phone it'll be on February 9th 7:00am ~till~ 2nd March 12:00am. There's also some kinda maintenance going on for Kota Kinabalu.

Im from Miri and so far shitmyx has always lived up to it's unstable speeds but only since yesterday not once have i reached maxed speed capacity for my rapidshare downloads. I hope it gets resolved soon. Atm i'm getting an average 20-40kbps which fluctuates rapidly. I've been monitoring for about 16 hours now and i've only managed to download 700mb worth of files.

guys where to buy? and got what package?

i want to ask, my streamyx package is 512kbs. so basically everytime i download as free user, i get around 35 -45kbps. when at office, i can download free user with 100kbps (my office is 1mbps streamyx package)

so will it be faster if i become a premium member at my home? or my streamyx 512kbs package will limit the premium member speed?

my package is 512kbs streamyx, so basically anything i donlod, from watever site, will never exceed 50kbs right?

yea from my experience users with 512kbs connection(premium acc) can go up to 80 and 1mbs (premium) can go up to 160 .. free user i dunno.. to all those asking for links, click on my siggy or PM me for Premium accounts..

I can say the avg max is about 50-55kb/s, instantenous peak can reach up 70 but thats just a few seconds and it may be due to poor calculation from your download client.

I normally max my rapidshare downloads... so I have no idea why you people are complaining. Some mirrors might be slow, if that happens I just switch mirrors or reconnect to a diff IP and I get good speeds all around
