QUOTE(munky @ Mar 12 2009, 12:01 AM) bloody hell my RS dl speed is still freaking slow even after the so called repair by TMnet Wow mate, u got the same problem with me, after the part with the awesome speed is complete the others still stuck at 5~10kbps, i'm 1 mbps user, normally my cumulative speed is between 180~200kbpsany solution ? Added on March 12, 2009, 12:15 amone more thing is that, lets say im downloading an episode of heroes with 4 parts, 1 of the parts can get speeds up to 100+, but the rest only gets like 10kbps max. And when the part with speed of 100kbps is complete, the rest will still stuck with 10kbps. Before this, i always get 350kbps (cumulative speed). Now it's almost impossible to get that. Btw, i set max simaltaneous dl to 4 files at a time Tried calling TMNut but as usual their lame replay : Have u tried direct connection? Off firewall? FlushDns? Ok, i'll reset your port Nothing happens? Ok, i'll make a report, in 3 days this matter will be solved Until now, the problem still persist, what a bull$hit |

QUOTE(podrunner @ Mar 19 2009, 12:30 PM) Hi all, Hi, i've been through your situation before, 1 file with 160~180kbps while the others got stuck with horrid speed <10kbps, mind u i'm using IDM, so IMO, i don't think any download accelerator is the main problem coz ur getting the same problem using Flashget while i'm using IDM, so i think that the main culprit is no other than screamyx I'm a premium user, and have been for a couple of years. I use Flashget as my primary download manager, with max 8 files simultaneous downloads. I am still on the 1M package, and on good days, I get download speeds between 150 - 180KB/s. Until recently, when I have 8 files being downloaded simultaneously, flashget would more or less evenly distribute the speeds between the 8 files, say 20 - 30KB/s per file. Since February however, rapidshare files are very unevenly distributed. A typical 8 file simultaneous download would have one file at 105KB/s, and the rest with 10 or some SINGLE digit KB/s. Worse of all, when the file with the fast speed is completed, flashget does not detect, and the rest of the files are still being downloaded at very slow speeds. And this happens only with Rapidshare files, as megaupload files are pretty evenly distributed. Anyone else with this problem? Also, flashget doesn't like megashares....and I use IDM for that. For IDM users, is everyone using the registered version? I am still pondering whether I should pay for it, as the unregistered one has some limitations Please advise!! Thanks in advance |
